27 August, 2015 Samsung Updates

Note 4

Samsung has just started rolling-out the official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to the International Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910C). The update package is currently available Over-the-air and via KIES in Poland.

Other regions should get the same firmware build in the next few weeks. All other Galaxy Note 4 variants will get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update before the end of the year. We have confirmed before that that Note 4 will officially get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by early 2016.

Note 4

Galaxy Note 4 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update packs various bug fixes, security improvements and performance enhancements. Other regions should also get the same 5.1.1 update in the next few days, Galaxy Note Edge should get the same update in the upcoming few weeks.

The new Android build features performance improvements and security fixes, but there is no info if the Stagefright vulnerability was taken care of or not. If Samsung didn't have the time to patch the Stagefright exploit, hopefully it will do so via another patch update soon. You can download the official firmware from our YouFirmware section below faster than any other source.
