After the release of the lovely Droid, Motorola announces another two Droid devices, called Motorola Droid X and Motorola Droid 2. The first one will be landed at Verizon sometime in the beginning of July, maybe 2nd. Droid 2 will come in August and it seems it will run Android 2.2, unlike the Droid X which will run Android 2.1. There are also some leaked pictures of the Droid X, as you can see on top.

Anyway, even if Droid X will not run Android 2.1, it's possible it will get Froyo update soon after the release date, maybe before the launch of Droid 2. Unfortunately we do not know anything about the original Droid's update, buy it may also get Froyo update soon. Droid X will be powered up by the same processor as the original Droid, a 550MHz OMPA 3630 processor (underclocked from 600MHz).

Droid 2 is a full qwerty phone, with 3.7 inch screen, 750MHz processor, 8GB internal memory plus 8 GB on a microSD and packs a 8MP camera. Some other specs include GPS, FM Radio, 512 MB RAM and HDMI + USB port.
