The Galaxy J6+ is a low-end device in every sense of the term, but it is among the first devices from Samsung to get the latest February patch from the OEM. As of now, the patch is only rolling out in Europe (Germany to be specific), as per SamMobile.

Firmware version J610FNXXU1ASA2, which carries this month's security update, has been out and about from February 6, according to the report. Just in case you have not received it yet in spite of being in Germany, it might be time to try searching for it manually from your J6+'s Software Update section.

For those that are expecting Android 9 Pie on their Galaxy J6+, we actually have good news in that regard too! According to confirmed reports, the J6+ will be among first budget Galaxy devices to receive an OS upgrade to Android 9 Pie. Of course, that's still a bit away, (April to be precise), but given how few low-end smartphones will get the update, it's actually good news for those that have the a J6+.
