As everyone knows (or does not know) this is a subject I am following very close. The devs at XDA are working getting this up and running. A lot has been accomplished in the last couple of weeks but there is still a lot that needs to be done. You will probably see a massive amount of posts and videos on the subject. They also got ubuntu running on the HD2. The linux platform offers a lot of OS that now can be ported to the HD2.

There is still a lot of work to be done. And no set release date for a full working android build

I personally like the idea of dual boot as this will run from the SD card and will not interfere with Windows nor will it void your warranty. The best of both worlds.
