First announced at the CTIA wireless show, the Kyocera RIO (E3100) is a lower end device that targeting younger folks who just want a cool touch screen phone.

BGR reported that the RIO will be available sometime in November 2010, as you can see from the screenshot, it's MSRP at $149, so probably free with a contract.

Kyocera is famous for making lower end devices, I think right now they just want to get into the touch screen phone space with the RIO

Here's some of the specs.

  • Touchscreen handset with 1xRTT
  • 1.3MP camera
  • 2.8 inch QVGA display
  • microSD expansion
  • A2DP

Cricket in Canada will be first to release the phone.  Thanks to BGR for the screenshot.
