Motorola announced XT720
Today Motorola announced their new Android device, called Milestone/Droid XT720, which seems to be a lot like the original Droid, but with an improved camera, HDMI out and, surprise, no keyboard at all. Not having the keyboard makes the device more pocket-suitable, getting it to 10.9 mm from 13.7. The camera is an 8MP auto-focus with xenon flash (!). It can also record 720p videos.
The device will run Android 2.1, and not the latest version, but this means there may be an update soon. The display is a 3.7 inch 480x854, 512 MB on-board storage, 256 MB RAM packed, 8GB microSD card, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Radio, all of them powered by a 550MHz processor. The processor is unfortunately underclocked from an 720MHz Cortex A8. If it helps to know, then the Korean vesion of the device, called MOTOROI, will be powered up by the whole 720MHz.
Surprinsingly fast, the device is about to come out next month, and for now will be out on the market in EU only. There are not any details about the price or US release date yet.
