After the Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo, was announced to come on many devices, including the new myTouch 3G Slide, many myTouch (original version) were left to wonder if they are going to taste from the latest version of the operating system. Well, according to an internal screenshot we know for sure T-Mobile wants to update the operating system for the original myTouch too.

The update will bring a modified version of the Faves Gallery, will introduce the Genius Button (as in the myTouch 3G Slide), will offer full exchange support and will bring the originator up to speed. T-Mobile, through their policy called "no phones left behind", want to assure every customer that can't upgrade to a newer phone that they will not be left behind and that they will get every update possible. There's no date of then Froyo will be available for the original myTouch, but if it's going to be the same date when the 3G Slide will get the update, then myTouch users will not have to wait too much for it.
