We have Got a List of the known Bugs of the Samsung Fascinate from BGR, Here is Few of the Most interesting issues:

  • Alert Notifications: There is no option to change the Calendar alert notification.Short term work around: There is no short term work around for this issue.
  • Blank Screen: If you are on a call and a second call comes in, you get the correct Caller ID information. If you answer the second call, the caller ID screen goes blank and does not show any caller information. 
Short term work around: There is no short term work around for this issue
  • Email Sync: In some cases exchange e-mail and yahoo mail can stop syncing
Short term work around: The user can manually sync
Planned Resolution: A fix for this issue will be included in the MR 1 release for this device.
  • Exchange Active Sync Security Lock: The EAS security lock may be invoked earlier then the timer is set for.
  • Google and Bing Maps Latency: It has been reported that it takes longer then other devices to get GPS location information when using Google and Bing maps. Short term work around: There is no short term work around for this issue
  • Call Disconnect:If you are on a call or in the process of receiving an incoming call and you press the search button the call may be disconnected.

Known Issues

Car Kit Connect:
In some rare occasions when connected to the 2009 Mercedes Benz AMG C63 car kit the car kit will announce “Connect…. ready…. connect…. ready…. connect….”.
Short term work around: Power the device off and then back on and pair with the car again

Backlight Timeout:
When on a call using Bluetooth and the backlight times out you have to unlock the screen to end the call

Car Kit Contact Sync:
When syncing contacts to a 2010 Toyota Prius, only phone contacts and not EAS contacts sync.

Soft Key Backlight:
The backlight on the 4 bottom buttons (menu, home, back, and search) only stay on for 5 seconds. These do not correspond with screen timeout settings.

E-mail

Known Issues

No Message Delete Status:
When deleting e-mails there is no status indication that this is taking place so users may feel that the device is locked up when it is just actively deleting e-mails

Email Sync:

In some cases when the screen goes dark while syncing the device will display the error “unable to open connection to server”.

Exchange Security Policy Email Password:
There is no ability to change the device password after Exchange security policy is applied. There is no password option in the Location & Security settings menu, only swipe unlock settings

Exchange ActiveSync Security Lock Screen:
When the EAS security is invoked, a new lock screen is introduced. Also the unlock icons do not line up with the border of the wallpaper.

Exchange ActiveSync Security Lock:
The EAS security lock may be invoked earlier then the timer is set for.

New Account Sync Frequency Default:
When a user sets up a Pop 3 e-mail account on the device the default e-mail sync frequency is defaulted to never.

Corporate Email Policy Special Characters:
When Corporate email policies require the device to have a password, special characters are not supported

Corporate Email Inbox Error:
In some cases users may receive the error “Unable to open connection to server” intermittently when attempting to refresh their corporate email inbox

Feed and Widget Updates

Known Issues

No Updates:
In some cases feeds and widgets do not update
Short term work around: In this case users may need to manually request the update

FOTA (Over The Air Upgrade)

Known Issues

Not Available via Wi-Fi:
If the device is in WIFI mode you will not be able to access the over the air software update system (FOTA).
Short term work around: You will need to turn off WIFI in order to access the FOTA system

GPS

Known Issues
