Samsung galaxy jumps from ginger bread to Android 4.1: updates reveals
[Photos, Price & Specs] Samsung Officially announces Galaxy Note 5 with 4GB RAM and ultra-sleek body
Do you remember the Samsung Galaxy beam? It's not the original one, but the sequel that launched last year and has got the same name. The second only Smartphone from Samsung that supports built-in projectors is in the limelight right now, not because of its high sales but because it supports and is getting updates to Android 4.1 jelly Bean.
It's a good thing, but what makes it more interesting is that it jumps from 2.3 Gingerbread to directly Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, skipping 4.0 ice-cream Sandwich. Now there is no hard and fast rule that you cannot do this, but it is seriously something new in the market. What Samsung wants is to bring in some life in it, but adding something new and lucrative for the user.
The update is in the testing phase right now, with a leaked build, which is available. According to some people who have actually installed it this runs much smoother than the Ginger bread, so it's a change for the good.
