Samsung owns more than 71% of the Smartwatch Market

Smartwatches are getting a popular in the consumers tech-market. If you own a Smartwatch, its probably a Samsung Gear... Why ?  Because that's what the latest market research shows. Samsung is currently the TOP in the world of wearables.

Lately, Samsung shipped out 500K smartwatches in Q1,2014 and its already sold 1 Million smart-watches back in 2013. Samsung currently controls more than 71% of the smart watches market with its new series of wearable products including Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, Galaxy Gear and Galaxy Gear Neo.

However, this doesn't mean that competition isn't on the horizon. LG's G Watch will be released at the end of May, and Motorola, HTC, and Asus are all going to jump into the Smartwatch game soon as well.
