Sprint didn't sell that many HTC Evo 4Gs

When Sprint released HTC Evo 4G they created an histeria in the US, with people waking up in the morning to go and receive their pre-ordered device. Sprint announced they have even sell more Evos than Palm Pre and Smansung Instinct (the two biggest devices until that day), and this means more than two hundred thousands handsets. Well, someone actually counted all the devices sold, and they realised there are not so many as they thought previously.
Pundits suggest that they actually sold around 150.000 smartphones. They said they sold around 300.000, so double than they actually managed to sell on 4th June. Sure, this number is highly expected to climb fast, but those are just future previsions, not certain things. It remains to be seen how many HTC Evo 4Gs were actually sold on 4th of June, but if one thing if for sure, then Sprint lost a lot of credibility with this announcement they should have made.
