sprint 4g Sprint trashes T Mobile 4G on Twitter

Sprint is talking trash on Twitter about the T-Mobile HSPA+ 4G network but I think the nation third-largest carrier should read IntoMobile a bit more to be more informed about what can be called "4G."

Stephanie Vinge, with the corporate communication division, tweeted:

"A little #4G math: # of T-Mobile 4G phones: 0 (oh wait, they do not have a 4G network yet) # of VZW 4G phones: 0. # of Sprint 4G phones: 2."

Its true that Verizon does not have any LTE phones yet – we expect to see devices fromSamsung, HTC, and Motorola as soon as Jan. 6 T-Mobile does have a pair of devices which could be called 4G T-mobile 4G and My Touch 4G

Part of the confusion may be that the magenta carrier uses HSPA+ for its next-generation network and there was some confusion over whether this should be labeled 4G. The ITU just decided that LTE, WiMax and HSPA+ can be labeled 4G.
