The Galaxy J7 (2016) Finally Gets Nougat

29 August, 2017 Samsung Updates

Android Oreo 8.0 might be out and about but apart from a selected few handsets from Google itself, most smartphones are still a very long way away from receiving it. In fact, a lot of the older or low-mid range devices are yet to receive Android 7.0 Nougat from last year. The Galaxy J7 (2016) is a good example of both "older" and "low-mid range," so we are happy to report that Samsung has just started rolling out the much awaited update to Galaxy J7 (2016) smartphones in Russia. Check out the screenshot above for more details.

If you are in Russia, check to see if the update has already arrived for your smartphone. If it hasn't, it will in a few days' time. In case you are in any other location though, you may have to wait a bit longer, but then again, you never know! If you see a 0.97GB update waiting for you with the firmware version J710FXXU3BQHA in any other location outside Russia, do let us know.

Head over to our firmware section to find all the latest available updates for your Samsung smartphones and tablets.
