The Galaxy Note 4 Gets the Latest Security Patch

The Galaxy Note 4 is too old to receive an upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat now but that doesn't mean that Samsung has forgotten the old Note from 2014. It has till date received steady updates that have kept it fully functional and secure, in spite of being almost three years old now. It's always good to see old Samsung devices get latest updates and that's why it's our pleasure to bring you the news that if you own a Galaxy Note 4 in Europe, you should be able to see the Android security patch for the month of July making its way on to your Note 4 anytime now.


The build version of the firmware is N910FXXS1DQG5 and it should be somewhere around 199MB in size. As is the case with every Samsung security update, the package will fix 16 vulnerabilities in Samsung's own firmware and of course, the 65 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures shared by all Android smartphones in general.
