If the HTC One is just too small for your needs, how about the HTC T6, a 5.9-inch HTC device code-named the T6 is purportedly in development.

It's rumored that HTC is planning to launch a 5.9 inch Full HD Android device, currently codenamed T6. According to EVleaks, the HTC T6 will come with a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Boom Sound speakers, an Ultrapixel rear camera, 2.1MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal memory, and a 3300 mAh battery. It's said that the T6 will run the unreleased Android Key Lime Pie.

The HTC One already encroached on Samsung's Android dominance with the Galaxy S4, but based on newly leaked specs, HTC is thinking bigger.

While the phablet game has largely been Samsung's to lose at this point, the supposed specs for the T6 might finally give the Note series a run for its money.

Last year, the Samsung Galaxy S III was introduced in an unpacked event in London and it made history. This year however, the place of the event is still a highly guarded secret but experts speculate on the big possibility that the Galaxy S IV will be launched in an unpacked event in Moscow, considering the previous announcement of Samsung Sponsorship in the Sochi Olympics.

This bit of news, (err, rumor...) will surely elicit mixed reactions for people who are expecting the Korean tech giant to release the S IV this year. Furthermore, what could be the reason for the leaked date of the unpacked event, which is supposed to happen on March 15th?

For now, we only have to wait and see. Samsung is really keeping everyone on their toes, especially with their Sochi Olympic Slogan, "One Year to Go Countdown with Lots of Campaigns".

Is Samsung likely to hold the unpacked event in the 2014 Sochi Olympics?

Another anticipated device from Samsung aside from the Galaxy S 4 is the upcoming Galaxy Note 3. This device is popular among people who love smartphones that have bigger screens. According to SamMobile, the company will replace its popular AMOLED display with a high quality LCD made by Sharp. It can be recalled that Samsung acquired a stake in the company and is now banking on the components that are produced by Sharp.

The main reason for the switch is because the S-Pen might be better off with the LCD screen. Furthermore, it is said that the panels produced by Sharp are said to be the best. Other than that, a possible reason for the use of LCD display, instead of AMOLED could be because Samsung needs to concentrate production of panels for the Galaxy S 4. Whatever the reason, if it makes the device perform better, then it's all good.

Most of these smartphone makers have slight advantages over the other and that is why they are still in the business. But Samsung has been making waves and has one important characteristic against many and this might also be the reason why it is on the brink of unseating the most profitable smartphone vendor, which is Apple.

Samsung's cost of production for the S 4, and other Samsung devices for that matter, can be comparable to Apple's but half of the components for these devices are sourced out from their own plants, which means that half of the cost goes back to their bank account and that they already earn money even before they sell S 4 units. Whereas Apple sources out most of its components from others, which means that they only become profitable once they have sold the iPhone units.

Furthermore, Samsung has control over the component and the production of their units and that they are not at the mercy of third party providers who can easily leave them hanging, like in bottle neck productions. The report came from Wayne Lam who analyzed that these leaves Samsung with a bigger advantage over all other smartphone manufacturers.

By end of 2013, IHS analysts think that Samsung will double its lead for cellphone handset manufacturing. This will also be brought about by the shipment of Galaxy S 4 units, which has just been touted as the most pre-registered phone in history by Carphone Warehouse, a large online mobile vendor in UK.

IHS also thinks that Samsung, which is already leading by 5%, is likely to increase its lead further by 11% over Nokia, which is the second top manufacturer. Apple comes in at third.

Samsung really sits on great marketing and with most of its rivals experiencing difficulties in growth and are experiencing other internal conflicts, this could be the year that Samsung will become undisputed smartphone manufacturer in all market ranges.

However, some people are getting quite concerned about its success that it is already associated with Android. Will Android be swallowed up by Samsung as well or will it provoke Google to create a device that will rival Samsung's success? What do you think?

For some period of time, there have been ongoing speculations about the benefits of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) Spec. A long list of gadgets which can benefit from this spec has been put forward. It is unfortunate to note as matter of fact that while most of the modern flagship devices have the required hardware Android OS has languished without official support by Google.

Most leading OEMs have managed to build their proprietary energy efficient protocol versions. However, until at the moment, only Motorola features access to API that is freely shared. However, that is deemed to change because Samsung is in the process of taking Bluetooth Low Energy SDK to the public. From the time they built their own customized frameworks, both Samsung and HTC have required the developers to submit apps for SDKs access. While this procedure is not new for the medium or large software companies, it seems unconventional for the hobbyists and solo developers.

Samsung on Monday announced that it will hold an event in London next month, presumably to launch new devices in its Android and Windows lines.

The company sent out an invite for its June 20 "Samsung Premiere 2013," promising news on both the Ativ and Galaxy Brands. Samsung uses Galaxy for its line of Android-based phones, tablets and cameras, while Ativ is used for Windows phones and tablets.

We expect Samsung to show off some of the latest products it's announced, including the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.

Samsung said in the invitation that the event will be held at the Earl's Court exhibition center in London, and will also be Webcast on YouTube.

Samsung announced WatchON an application that lets yor control every Smart TV from Samsung.

Check out some screenshots of Samsung's new WatchON application.  Samsung's new WatchON interface will look like. What struck us the most is its flat appearance like Samsung's new S-Voice and their new Life Times app. Also for the new samsung WatchON app the guidelines of Android 4.4.2 KitKat are clearly seen. We have to say that everything looks better, the functions generally remain the same.
