You know Bell create Telephone, but who created the Cell Phone? His name is Martin Cooper, here's a brief description of Martin over at Wikipedia.
Martin Cooper (born December 26, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, USA) was a vice president and division manager who led the Motorola team that developed the handheld mobile phone (as distinct from the car phone). Cooper is the CEO and founder of ArrayComm, a company that works on researching smart antenna technology and improving wireless networks, and was the corporate director of Research and Development for Motorola.

Innocomm Technology, a young smartphone developer, plans to launch its first handset with Google's Android mobile operating system and an analog TV receiver in the middle of this year, a company representative said Tuesday.
The new device should come as a warning to a number of mobile phone makers. Innocomm is one of a new breed of smartphone design houses aiming to provide high quality, low-cost handsets to mobile phone network operators around the world.
The specifications of the Innocomm Shark, as the handset is called, put it in a category of smartphones that might cost US$500 or $600 retail, but it will actually sell for a lot less than that when it comes out in May or June, according to Chuck Huang, a sales manager at the company.
"What we do is sell a high-end smartphone at a low-end price," he said, adding that network operators will likely offer it for free with reasonable service contracts.

Nice tool in my opinnion, as mobile phones become increasingly powerful and can store more data, we've introduced new methods of search to get you to your content faster, such as search suggestions or search by voice. But sometimes, typing to get to the right search suggestion takes too long, and you may be in a quiet environment where speaking a query is inappropriate. Today we're pleased to announce Gesture Search, a new Google Labs application for Android-powered devices running Android 2.0 or above in the US. Gesture Search lets you quickly find a contact, an installed application, a bookmark or a music track from hundreds or thousands of items, by simply drawing alphabet gestures on the touch screen.
Say you want to call your friend Anne. Just open Gesture Search and draw letter "A", and Gesture Search returns a list of items that have words starting with "A". If your handwriting isn't all that neat, that's okay. If the "A" you draw looks a bit like an "H", as seen in the bottom left corner of the screenshot, "H" results will be brought up as well. If needed, you can also erase a query by crossing it horizontally: left to right erases the entire query, and right to left removes the last letter or space in the query. Now you can either scroll down the list to find Anne or write more letters to refine the search.

Google's Nexus One, the company's first own-brand mobile phone, will launch in the UK in April. It will be on sale through Google.com/phone only, as the company has previously announced. Tariffs have not been announced, but the Nexus One is likely to be priced very similarly to comparable smartphones such as the iPhone.
Built by HTC, the Nexus One is Google's attempt to assert the superiority of its mobile operating system Android, in the face of market dominance from Apple's iPhone and Microsoft's reinvigorated mobile software, Windows Phone.

Samsung has yet to release a firmware upgrade to Android 2.1 for any of their Android phones and there are rumors that some devices (like the original Galaxy) would be stuck on Android 1.5. Sprint is working with Samsung to deliver Android 2.1 to the Moment in early Q2 2010, but that is the only model we have confirmed an update for.

Google has just released Google Earth on Android OS platform. With the release of Google Earth for Android, they also introduced the Roads layer, a very popular feature of the desktop version of Google Earth. Now you can get a better sense of where you are with road labels drawn on top of the satellite imagery.
In addition, we have taken advantage of the integrated voice recognition capabilities of the Android platform to provide the best Google Earth experience yet -- a pocket globe that responds to your every command. Try speaking "Eiffel tower" or "best burrito Mission district of San Francisco."
Pretty awesome if you asked me.
