Steve Ballmer certainly succeeded in showing to the whole world that Microsoft is still one of the biggest name in the field of developing operating systems. Despite the major disappointment many people had with Windows Mobile, MS was able to get up, change their game and totally reinvent the entire mobile user experience.
LG's first Windows Phone 7 smartphone is apparently code-named LG Panther. No more information than this has been revealed so far, but at least the mystery is no longer valid.
Unfortunately, we don't have more info about the LG Panther's features, and we only know that it has a touchscreen display, QWERTY keyboard, 3.5mm headset jack and a 5MP camera.
When LG officially announced the LG Cookie Plus GS500, it said that other new Cookie phones would be launched during 2010.
Trying to market itself to a new segment, the LG Cookie Fresh sports a 3" QVGA touchscreen, 2-meapixel camera, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headset jack. Definitely not considered a high-end phone, the specs so far hint that it'll most likely cater to consumers looking for something that won't break their wallets, while at the same time, offer some of the refinements we see associated with most touchscreen phones.

LG is doing it again, different from other countries the 1 Ghz mobile processor was adopted on a regular phone, not a smartphone. Beginning last year with Toshiba's TG01, Qualcomm's Snapdragon is gaining momentum. The mobile processor has been selected by several new smartphones, such as the Nexus One and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, and a smartbook such as HP's AirLife 100.
For 2G CDMA operator, LG first selected QSD 8650 on the Maxx, formerly known Arena Maxx, while other smartphones, including LG's GW820 in the U.S., use the QSD 8250 chip set.
Heres's some of the features of the MAXX. The Maxx has a 3.5-inch touch-screen with a finger-touch mouse function and a 5-megapixel camera module. It supports HD video, DivX, mobile TV(T-DMB), GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity. At the user interface, the Maxx adopts a 3D UI that is enhanced over its predecessor, the Arena.
LG also plans to introduce a Snapdragon-based smartphone for SK Telecom and KT customers soon.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics' own platform, the bada-based Wave, is scheduled to first release in April in Europe, and is expected to appear in the local market in the first half of this year. The Wave has adopted Samsung's own 1 Ghz mobile processor.

LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in mobile communications, today announced its new LG GD880, or LG Mini, a new phone that accentuates its trendsetting design with a full complement of intelligent features.
LG Mini is the smallest and slimmest 3.2-inch full touchscreen phone on the market today, making it the perfect handset for people who want all the communication features that today's technology has to offer without the bulk and heft of a traditional fully-loaded handset.

"The easily pocketable LG Mini delivers great looks at a reasonable price, along with the trendy features that people want."
Thanks to a slim, compact form factor made from the highest quality materials, the LG Mini easily slides in a shirt pocket or small handbag while still feeling reassuringly solid to the touch. Textured metal accents on the sides of the LG Mini add to the phone's eye-catching looks without detracting from its overall simplicity. On the front, a large 3.2 inch touchscreen with an aspect ration of 16:9 extends all the way to the edge of the phone, giving it a finish that is as smooth as ice.
