Dell has confirmed that its Streak tablet will get the Android 2.2 operating system (Froyo) later this 12 months, but it surely won't run on T-Mobile's 3G network.
The Dell Streak worth was briefly shown on the Dell site earlier today though Dell has since pulled the web page off line. While the page was up, the pricing for the Streak showed a price of $299.ninety nine on a two yr contract with ATT with a price tag of $549.99 off contract. With Dell pulling the web page from it's website, there's a slim chance it may very well be modified nearer to the release date (which is any day now we consider). Nevertheless, we think the prices will probably be what it is.
In addition to temporarily unveiling the Dell Streak worth, the value of the Dell Aero was additionally noticed with a price of $99.99 on contract and $299.ninety nine off contract with a launch date of August 9. We'll attempt get more particulars on this and replace as soon as possible.
The opposite piece of reports the corporate revealed right now is that it's going to "not be certified for T-Cellular operation overall." In other words, the Dell Streak is barely going to work on AT&T's 3G community in the U.S., similar to a sure different 3G tablet.

As you may already know, Microsoft quit shipping the Kin Series couple of weeks ago in an official announcement, this made many people wondering what really prompted Microsoft from plan such a quick decision during this short of product release of its product, that's not Microsoft, it's unusually for them to give up so fast. Even the not-so good selling Zune music device is still on the stock shelves.
well according to the new blog site MobileCrunch, Microsoft had sold merely 8,800 units since its release date, at a no-contract price of $329, it works out to be $2.8 million (I trust their numbers). This barely covers the heavily advertisement dollars that microsoft had put it for the launch as well as press conferences it thrown.
In my personal opinion, I think Microsoft did the right thing because there's no way in heaven that the Kin will be anywhere nearly as popular as say the Motorola Droid. Please feel free to share your view?
