If you have been waiting for the Motorola Devour, your phone is here.  The Motorola Devour phone is pretty similar to the Motorola Cliq on T-Mobile, and the Motorola Backflip currently available on AT&T.

The Motorola Devour is the first Android phone featuring MOTOblur, the Devour packs a 3.1 inch touchscreen, a Touch Sensitive Navigation Key, a pre-installed 8GB micro SD card, and is bluetooth capable for Wireless Headset and Stereo support.  And because it runs the Android OS, you will be able to access the thousands of Android Apps currently available in the App Store.

Price of the Motorola Devour will run you at $149 with a 2 year contract.

Check it out on Verizon wireless website.

Both Samsung Supersonic and Motorola Charm are upcoming T-mobile smart phone, the Samsung Supersonic is probably the Samsung Vibrant that was announced a few days ago, it's not a name change,  Supersonic is actually a code name according to Tmonews.

The Samsung Vibrant/Supersonic will run you $199 with a 2 years contract.  But $449 without a contract, which I think it's pretty fair considering how powerful the handset is.

Tmonews also revealed the price of the upcoming entry phone by Motorola, the so call Motorola Charm, the phone will only run you $79 with a 2 year contract.  It's another one of the feature phones that targets teens.

Doesn't seem that long ago we were all really excited about the Verizon Droid, the first ever android phone to come with Android 2.0, well Droid-Life.com site just release some details that Motorola Droid 2 has hit the Verizon Inventry System.

Don't mistake Motorola Droid 2 for the Motorola Droid Shadow, I know recent news was all about the Droid Shadow, althought it might look like Motorola Droid, it appears to be more like the HTC Evo 4G especially with 4.3 inch LCD screen.

EngadgetMobile also confirmed that the Motorola Droid has a 3.7 inch LCD screen, so it's definitely not the Droid Shadow.  We are hoping to get more info on this device soon, maybe Froyo in the works?

Droid-Life did it again, they provided the Mobile Phones community with more pictures as well as detailed information about the upcoming Verizon handset name Motorola Droid XTreme.  Look to me like the Droid XTreme does come with 8 MP Camera, HD video recording like the HTC Evo 4G.

Now Droid-Life still isn't 100% sure on whether or not that is MotoBlur but it sure looks sort of like it doesn't it?

The device is definitely a step forward to the Motorola Droid, it might as well compete directly to the HTC Evo 4G.  After all the attention yesterday regarding to the HTC Evo 4G release, Motorola isn't stepping back, and they hope this device will do the direct competition.

I am not sure if I would consider this a big upgrade from the origial Motorola Droid, although the specs are enhanced somewhat, they did throw in a 8 MP camera, a little improvement on the Processor, from 600 mhz to 750 mhz.  As far as appearance, it looks very much like the Motorola Droid 1.

According to DroidLife, here are some of the spec

  • -Android 2.1 (unless Verizon pumps out a last minute 2.2 update to it)
  • -3.7″ screen
  • -750MHz OMAP processor
  • -Wi-Fi tethering
  • -8GB internal
  • -8GB SD card preinstalled
  • -Updated keyboard
  • -5MP camera
  • -New version of Motoblur
  • -No HDMI port
  • -No front facing camera

Well, not just Verizon, but Motorola, Google, and Verizon will be announcing a new  android device, even Adobe will be there, probably flash related.

The media invitation postcard has been surfaced around for Media people, so engadget got a copy.  There will be demo immediately following the press event, attendees will have an opportunity to see the latest generatio of DRoid by Motorola from Verizon Wireless.

Can we say Droid X please? let's the drums roll... Will it be release with Android 2.2 Froyo? or just Android 2.1? I guess we will truly know by then.

Yes you heard it right, it's not the Droid X that's going to be release next month, this is the Motorola Droid 2, a successor of the original motorola droid.

Gizmodo got us some pictures of a summer intern name Zack who had the first impression with the device.

Zack wrote:

I am a summer intern at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (NASA) this summer and today there was a tech show on the lab. There were a lot of cool new technologies along with booths for companies like Microsoft, Apple, Sprint, and Verizon.

I went over to the Verizon booth and was surprised to see a curious-looking phone next to regulars like Blackberries and the Droid Incredible. I picked up the phone and once I looked at it more closely I realized it was the Droid 2. I asked the representatives and they told me that they weren't sure exactly what the name was going to be, but that it was indeed the successor to the original Motorola Droid.

It felt really nice in my hand. It seems smoother than the original Droid. A lot more curves and less sharp edges. Held next to my original Droid, it seems exactly the same size The headphone jack, volume buttons, power/sleep button, and the Micro-USB port were all in the same place and pretty much exactly like the original. The camera button is also in the same place, but smaller and the same color as the volume buttons.
