Earlier in March, we reported all Nokia 5900XM models The official website of the news coming out, and today, we have mobile phones PConline forum the user will be exposed in this story of 5900XM took the true picture.

Picture of the models from the point of view, this Nokia 5900XM and 5800XM touch as a whole design, the thickness of the body are obviously a lot thinner than the 5800 machine to the texture is all the more high-end look, feel respect should be very good.? However, judging from the pictures it seems that we have not seen the pre-5900 video call camera, does not support the 3G network?

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is quite a hit for Nokia, who sold at least 1 million units each month for sometime now.  TestFreaks.com gave a really good Freak Score of 9.7 out 10. Click here for the detailed review.

And now it seems that Nokia is readying a small update to it's first full touch handset in the form of Nokia 5800i XpressMusic phone.

Nokia 5800i XM just passed through FCC, and all the documents show pretty much the same handset, with similar specs and looks as the original 5800. Except for the Wi-Fi connectivity, which is lacking in Nokia 5800i.

Wow, Nokia is getting serious on this one, a while back, Nokia Filed a patent lawsuit against Apple over the iPhone because Apple refused to pay Nokia for the patent fees that Nokia was asking for.

Well, adding the fuel to the fire, Nokia today added few other patents cluding aspects of user interface, cameras, antenna and power management technologies.

Nokia isn't backing down from the growing iPhone and Android on mobile phones market share.  Today, Yahoo! and Nokia announced a worldwide strategic alliance to extend the reach of their industry leading online services and offer people rich experiences that keep them connected to their world and the world around them.

As part of the alliance:

  • - Nokia will be the exclusive, global provider of Yahoo!'s maps and navigation services, integrating Ovi Maps across Yahoo! properties, branded as "powered by Ovi."
  • - Yahoo! will become the exclusive, global provider of Nokia's Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat services branded as "Ovi Mail / Ovi Chat powered by Yahoo!"
  • - Nokia and Yahoo! plan to work on ID federation between their services, beginning by making it easy for people to use their Ovi user IDs across select Yahoo! properties to easily access the online content and services they need.
  • "Delivering great user experiences -- both online and on your mobile - is what this alliance is all about," said Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, CEO, Nokia. "We're enabling millions of Yahoo! customers in key markets including North America to discover the unique capabilities that Ovi Maps brings. Similarly, Yahoo!'s online expertise will bring exciting mail and messaging enhancements to millions of Ovi Mail customers across almost every country around the world, many of whom will have their first Internet experience on their mobile.
  • "What a combination," said Carol Bartz, CEO, Yahoo!. "We're excited to expand the reach of our best-in-class Mail and Messenger services, bringing personalized experiences to more people across the mobile web, particularly in emerging markets where we are seeding the next generation of Yahoo! users. At the same time, we believe Nokia's strength and continued investment in maps and navigation will greatly enhance our existing products, enabling us to focus on areas that are core to our business."
  • Together, Yahoo! and Nokia will continue to deliver compelling Internet experiences that address the core needs of consumers, developers, operators and advertisers. The companies will utilize their respective global distribution advantages and brand recognition across consumer audiences.
  • Select, co-branded service offerings are expected to become available from the second half of 2010, with global availability expected in 2011.

Just came across a video of a Nokia N9, there's no information yet on this device, but from the video, the Nokia N9 looks very much like the Nokia N8 but with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, very much as we were expecting of this device.

We're not too sure whether this is an actual promo-video or just a leaked document of intent for the Nokia N9. After all, it opens with a rather curious ‘We can turn the world into a sandwich' while crazy ukuleles play out in the background.

What do you think about the video, put your comments below

Nothing is impossible after you see this video.  A Nokia N900 got hacked and made to run Google's latest android os 2.2 also called the Froyo.

The video shows a demo of android 2.2 froyo running on the nokia n900. including a demo of the new lightning fast browser, avg of 3 seconds to load a fairly heavy page over wifi.

The project is not yet complete, but they did managed to finish these tasks.

N8x0 Port:

  • ** Now Using Android 1.6 'Donut'
  • ** Wifi works,
  • ** Bluetooth Works
  • ** Touchscreen works,
  • ** Buttons work,
  • ** Sound Via A2DP Bluetooth Works and seems stable
  • ** first msdos vfat partition on the booting memory card work, other card slot does not work.
  • ** Swap is autoenabled on boot using a seperate sd partition(Requires a different partitioning layout to original nitdroid hence my new post)
  • ** Disabled androids new VOLD sdcard monitoring service and reverted to the older 'Mountd' as this can recognise cards with multiple partitions unlike vold
  • ** SDCard is detected and mounted
  • * Removed Google apps due to crashing and causing problems
  • * Edited init.rc memory settings to allow more memory to be used.
  • * Added E-Buddy Messenger
  • * Added ASTRO File Manager
  • * Added AndChat IRC Client
  • * Added Connectbot ssh/telnet client
  • * Added Snake Game
  • * Added Twidget Lite Widget
  • * Removed Voice Search/Dialer
  • * Home screen now allows adding/moving/deleting items
  • * Touch screen seems to be a bit inaccurate right at the bottom so try to keep off the very bottom edge - not too hard because buttons are fine size wise
