Google is continuing to encourage the connection between developers and users and now the company behind Android has allowed developers to respond to user reviews and comments on Play store Apps, allow the users to get more connected with the developers, and also allows the developers to get more feedback from the users who are experiencing problems or crashes.

"The feature originally rolled out to top developers, and we're gradually expanding it to additional Google Play developers," - Google spokesperson said

ubuntu Phone OS

Ubuntu OS for phones was formally announced just last week, and won't be available on the market until early 2014. Test images that have been promised, to allow developers and various other technophiles to play around with the platform, won't be made available until late in February.

Great work is definitely being done on the platform, and it seems that Ubuntu for phones has already gotten a performance update.

The video comes from Mika Meskanen, an Ubuntu interaction designer, showing off two devices one running the original build of Ubuntu for phones and the other running the new update. One of the things that we had all noticed from the early hands-on with Ubuntu for phones was that there was some lag and stutters in the UI when scrolling and such. From the new video, it seems those issues have been smoothed out.

The folks at Mozilla are working on a full-fledged mobile operating system "Firefox OS", the debut of which might be closer than we think. We've already seen the platform in action on a smartphone and screenshots of it have been made public, taken using the Firefox OS emulator.

Information regarding actual devices has been scarce to this point, but we now know that at least one major manufacturer is serious about Firefox OS ZTE.

Verizon Communications Chairman and CEO Lowell McAdams sat down with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss football and entertainment the other day at CES 2013 in Las Vegas. Both talked about increasing the technology available to those attending a game, and since McAdams no longer is in charge of just wireless, the talk also covered the ways that those watching at home over cable could enjoy more interactive options.

But the highlight of the discussion was when McAdams revealed that Big Red is seeking to broadcast the Super Bowl to Verizon connected handsets over its 4G LTE network. Last year, Verizon streamed the game to its customers through the NFL Mobile app, but a broadcast would offer a more stable view of the game and would eliminate the buffering that takes away from the experience. McAdams said that a broadcast of the Super Bowl could take place as soon as the 2014 game.

The 2014 Super Bowl will be held at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey Next year.

Samsung ces youm

Last year, when we saw the Samsung's flexible OLED displays under the brand "YOUM" we've been waiting for an official reveal of actual products featuring this technology. Today at the CES 2013, Samsung's executives has officially showed off some live prototype devices with flexible panels during the CES keynote, using YOUM panels and plastic, these devices can bend easily and become unbreakable.

One of the possible uses for a flexible display panel is on a tablet that can be folded in half, thus becoming a smartphone that one can fit in their pocket. As you can see on the Photo below... This device is a concept of a future YOUM GALAXY smartphone (in the left) and future YOUM GALAXY Tab (in the right).

Another way to take advantage of this technology is to have a smartphone with a screen extending to the sides where notifications can be displayed even when the handset is lying down on a flat surface.

Of course, these are merely possibilities rather than practical real-world applications of the Youm flexible screens. But since we know that this innovative tech is almost ready for prime time, it will be interesting to see what kind of smartphones and tablets Samsung and other OEMs might implement bendable screens in.

Samsung has just Officially announced the 8-Cores processor Exynos 5 Octa, will be on upcoming Samsung's products during this year.

The latest member of the 5-series has been done with frugality/performance ratio in mind, as the chief of Samsung Electronics Stephen Woo admitted that the task to up performance while decreasing power consumption has been the one bothering him, and keeping him awake at night.

With Exynos 5 Octa, Samsung thinks it has cracked that code, and demonstrated on stage how you can search for restaurants and watch an HD movie at the same time, as well as some 3D gaming with Need for Speed: Most Wanted chosen as the demo... all this without a single lag.

"Level of pure processing power, never seen before in mobile devices and more detailed damage to cards, then ever before" - Samsung Exec.

Samsung's peeps said that the new Exynos has twice the graphics performance of anything currently on the market, but it is also very frugal, for up to 70% power savings. It's built around ARM's big.LITTLE concept, with a mix of frugal Cortex-A7 cores for the mundane tasks, and Cortex-A15 ones for the heavy lifting.
