The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update then comes just like a Christmas present for Xperia T owners. It has hit the international version of the smartphone (LT30p) as well as the AT&T branded Xperia TL (LT30at).

Xperia Z

 

Sony's flagship for 2013, the C660X Xperia Yuga, is bound to get a more market-friendly name before launch and rumor has it that it will be Xperia Z. The phone will also have IP certification for dust and water resistance and a low-reflectivity screen.

The Sony Xperia Z is set to receive IP57 certification for dust and water resistance, 5-inch HD 1080p display. Despite this however, the smartphone will have a pretty compact slim body measuring 139 x 71 x 7.9mm. There's no info about its weight ,yet.

Sony Yuga just got Previews! The Upcoming rumored flagship for the Sony Xperia series codenamed "Yuga" has leaked with Photos and Specs too.

Now for the specs Sony Yuga packs a 5" 1080x1920 pixels display with Mobile BRAVIA engine, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro clocked at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 12.1 MP Exmor RS camera on the back, and 16 GB of internal memory.

Sony managed to find place for a microSD card slot on the side of the unibody chassis, and even added a microHDMI, and it supports microSIM cards only, the Display is powered by Bravia Engine making every color bright and deep. Yuga is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but when it launch we can expect Jelly bean 4.2 to be on board.

Sony Mobile has Officially created a list of which models will be receiving the Jelly Bean update when the Japanese manufacturer starts rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean next year. Sadly, Not all the Xperia devices that was released in 2012 are on that list.

"We'd like to bring you up-to-speed with the latest in our Android 4.1 rollout scheduling.

First up, the upgrade plans* for Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V are progressing as planned - these smartphones will start to receive Jelly Bean during February and March.

Next up, Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go will be upgraded from the end of March. Then Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will follow in the subsequent weeks.

We're particularly excited about the Sony Xperia Jelly Bean features and functionality - we look forward to bringing you more information on this in the New Year.

Sony has released its own Flash tool for download. It lets you flash back to a Sony-made ROM in case you have stranded into hostile custom software territory. Currently only the Xperia S, arc and arc S are supported and an unlocked bootloader is a must.

Sony says that more phones will be supported with time and warns that unlocking your smartphone's bootloader can void your warranty.

The Jelly Bean Update is rolling-out to more devices everyday, Manufactures in a race to release the update for their customers. Today, SONY has tweeted from its official twitter account to shed some light on the upcoming Jelly Bean updates for its XPERIA smartphone lineup.



The company revealed that it will be announcing the detailed schedule in mid-December. which means the Updates may start rolling-out by early Next year.

Sony is getting ready to hit the market with its upcoming phones that packs 5" Full HD resolution screens from the Xperia series, codenamed "Yuga" and "Odin". Well, it is actually the same device, just that the Yuga will be the Asian version, likely heading for Japan with its waterproof body, and the Odin will be the global International edition of the 5-incher.


Dimensions of the Sony C650X "Odin" are expected to be 131.6mm x 69.7mm x 9.8mm thick, and the weight only 5.04oz (147g).


The Asia-bound Sony C660X "Yuga" is said to be taller but thinner at 138.6mm x 71mm x 8.1mm, and weighs even less at 140g, despite its alleged waterproof body.

Sony Xperia S AOSP

 

Sony announced that it has taken the lead on the Android Open Source Project for its popular Xperia S smartphone. The exercise began back in August when Jean Baptiste Queru, Google's Technical Lead of the AOSP announced it.


The current progress on the Sony Xperia S has been demonstrated in a video, which appeared in the Sony developer's blog. you can watch the video below.

Sony announced that it will launch its New Flagship smartphone Xperia V in Russia next month with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.


However,Sony France tweeted the Xperia V launch will be delayed by a month. Instead of hitting the shelves in time for the holiday season at the end of this year, the Xperia V will premiere in January.

The good news is the Xperia V will be running Jelly Bean out of the box and its suggested retail price is down to €529.

Xperia Odin

 

Latest reports suggests that Sony will release a New flagship device, the device will be named Xperia Odin C650X. Today, we got the first render photo of the device, it has a design close to the Motorola RAZR.

 C650X is rumored to feature a 5" screen with the impressive 1080p resolution, resulting in an mind-blowing density of 440 ppi, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with four 1.5 GHz Krait cores, a 13 MP snapper on the back, 2 GB of RAM and 32 gigs of internal storage.
