In December 2011, Huawei offered a demo version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its Honor smartphone, allowing users to dream about a full version.
Now the handset has been officially launched with Android ICS on board in China (via China Unicom). Of course, this means that if you have already bought the Honor with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, an update to Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich should be available for your device soon.

The Huawei Honor features a 4 inch FWVGA 854 x 480 display, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 8MP rear camera with 720p video recording, front-facing camera, 1.4GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, and a 1930 mAh battery. The handset is available in the US via Cricket Wireless under the name of Huawei Mercury.

So far, thin has been the keyword for this year CES. We have seen the world thinnest tablet and ultrabook, and now Huawei has revealed an Android smarpthone that claims to be the world slimmest.
Both new Huawei (P1 and P1 S) smartphones have 4.3" Super AMOLED display resolutions of qHD (540 x 960),with Gorilla Glass on top. The Ascend P1 and Ascend P1 S are powered by the same TI OMAP 4460 chipset with a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 1.5 GHz processor and a PowerVR SGX540 graphics chip and run the latest and greatest Android 4.0 ICS.
On the back there are 8 MP sharpshooters with Backside illuminated sensors for better low-light performance, dual-LED flashes, HDR effects and 1080p video capture. The duo also packs 1.3 MP front-facing cameras with 720p video capabilities.
