Google launched the New Google Currents v4.1 on Google Play store. But Google Current has something that Flipboard doesn't which is a developer-parent that produces the leading smartphone OS in the world. Google is taking advantage of this, according to an email sent to its partners, by adding Google Currents as a pre-installed application on all versions of Google 4.1. Here is a screenshot of YouMobile on the New Currents.
Google expects its action to result in a multitude of new Currents users, although by taking away your choice, it also takes away some of your storage space. Originally released late last year for Android and iOS, Google Currents takes your news feeds and converts them into a magazine style read. It also includes some default selections for your perusal. And now, with this news, Google Currents joins the Google family of apps found on the vast majority of Android devices.

Google has quietly rolled-out a new feature for the Google Play Store that personalized app recommendations. Google has had featured lists, and editor's picks for a while now, but this is the first truly personalized recommendations that the Google Play Store has offered on mobile. The recommendations have been available on the web for about a month, but this is the first time it's gone mobile.
The recommendations are found in the Apps tab of the Google Play Store, and feature a mix of apps and games that you may like. The recommendations are based on what apps your friends have +1ed on Google+, what apps are popular in your area, and apps that are "popular with similar users". Although that last one isn't explained, we would assume it is something pulled from the "user who installed this app also installed..." listings that you find on app pages.
Google has released an updated version of the Google Play Books application for Android. The Application Now has a built-in dictionary now, so you can quickly look up a word.
The Updates also include Place info cards, translation, sepia mode and New sliding page-turn animation and some bug fixes too.
The Google Play Store has had in-app subscriptions available since May, and the feature really came into fruition in June when the Nexus 7 was released and magazines were added to the store. Now, in-app subscriptions are getting even better with the option to offer free trials.
As of today, developers can now add in the option to offer free trials for its in-app subscriptions. The free trial must be at least 7 days, but over that, it can be as long as the developer wants. The purchase will go through as a transaction for $0.00, and users will get an e-mail detailing the deal. When the trial ends, the full amount of the subscription will automatically be charged, unless the user cancels.
Free Trial Period
For any subscription, you can set up a free trial period that lets users try your subscription content before buying it. The trial period runs for the period of time that you set and then automatically converts to a full subscription managed according to the subscription's billing interval and price.
To take advantage of a free trial, a user must "purchase" the full subscription through the standard In-app Billing flow, providing a valid form of payment to use for billing and completing the normal purchase transaction. However, the user is not charged any money, since the initial period corresponds to the free trial. Instead, Google Play records a transaction of $0.00 and the subscription is marked as purchased for the duration of the trial period or until cancellation. When the transaction is complete, Google Play notifies users by email that they have purchased a subscription that includes a free trial period and that the initial charge was $0.00.
Google Maps has officially launched for iOS. The app is available now in the iTunes App Store, and while it is a universal app, it is designed for the iPhone 5, meaning if you decide to install it on an iPad, it will not be optimized. Google Maps for iOS has most of the features you'd expect, and even more interesting it has launched with an SDK.
The app is everything that you'd expect from a Google Maps app. It includes the full range of places, and Street View imagery. It includes voice guided turn-by-turn navigation, vector drawn maps for faster loading and 3D modeling, live traffic info, and public transit directions. It's a full featured Google Maps app.
The only downsides we can see in initial testing is that it doesn't include walking or biking directions, and isn't optimized for the iPad yet. There also is no Google Latitude or offline maps, but we really didn't expect that. Overall, the app is slick and smooth. It even has some features we'd like to see come over to Android like having the top search result show at the bottom, and swiping up on it brings up the entire search results list. Google promised an amazing Maps experience, and it came through with this app.

Google Play is probably the fastest growing app market in the world, trailing close behind Apple's App Store. Last, we heard it has 600,000 apps, just 50,000 short of the App Store, but it was notorious for its more open policy towards apps that would often allow suspicious or plain raw apps. Now, this changes as Google has tightened up its app policy in terms of payment policy, advertizing, privacy and the looks of an app on Google Play.
Google Play App catalog policies Changes:
1. Payment Policy. Now, all transactions for Google Play apps should go through Google's very own payment platform. The exception is for material goods or content outside the app store. There is also an interesting paragraph where Google warns that app makers shouldn't mislead users. That's a pretty vague wording, but might help you if you accidentally purchase an app that doesn't do what it claims it should.
2. Naming/Icons. Google is now enforcing stricter rules for the looks and names of an app on Google Play. That's good news for users and bad news for copycats - there is a ton of games and applications that just slightly tweak the name of a popular game and use that to mislead users into downloading their stuff.
"Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't represent that your app is authorized by or produced by another company or organization if that is not the case," Google says.
3. Privacy. Strangely, Google hasn't clearly stated that viruses and trojans are forbidden. Now, it's all in the terms: "Don't transmit viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, malware, or any other items that may introduce security vulnerabilities to or harm user devices, applications, or personal data."
4. Spam. The Google Play store now clearly defines what's spam and this would include repetitive content, misleading product descriptions, manipulated ratings, apps that forward users to websites that are not affiliated with the app itself, and of course apps that send unauthorized messages from a phone.
5. Advertizing. Finally, Android's app catalog now has very clear rules on advertizing, so now developers carry all the responsibility for how ads behave.
Did you just got a Google Nexus 7 tablet? Sadly, not all apps are optimized perfectly for the 7-inch screen. Now, Gmail App latest update makes it fully compatible and optimized for 7-inch devices like the Nexus 7 tablet. All other 7-inches will benefit from the update as well.

After the success of the PC version, Mass Effect: Infiltrator by EA, one of the best looking third-person shooters on mobile, is now available on Android. It's closely related to Mass Effect 3, and actually it'd be better if you play this first as this will affect the storyline in ME3. Here you play the Infiltrator, with all your achievements recorded to Galaxy at War, and you'd accordingly get new skills and you'd arrive at a totally different ending at Mass Effect 3.
Mass Effect Infiltrator for Android works on both smartphones and tablets, but it's a hefty download at 450MB, so you'd better make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network, or you can see a big chunk of your monthly data disappear quickly.

Google has just announced that Chrome for Android left beta stage, and now the Google Earth Android App has been updated to version 7.0, bringing with it the full 3D Cities we saw at Google's maps event earlier in the month.
Only a dozen or so cities are available in 3D, so it could be a while until you are able to fly over your own home town. Also, the app is clearly a memory hog in 3D Mode several reviews have indicated crashes occurring, and on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus the app did often slow down as it continued to render higher quality tiles onto the 3D map.

What's New in Apps ? Here is the Top 10 Android Apps on Google Play for this Month November,2012.
10. Keymonk Keyboard
There’s been a couple of things in the keyboard space lately, just a few days ago we got to see SwiftKey’s new project Flow, a swype type keyboard from the folks that have delivered arguably the best keyboard on Android for some time now. Here, however, in Keymonk we have something a little different even still. This isn’t your typical keyboard but, that isn’t to say that it’s not a good choice or something that you can used to. You never know, after giving Keymonk a try you might have found your new keyboard?
This is a real unique app in that it shares images with people but, the images show up for only a few seconds and then they disappear. This sounds pretty stupid on the face of things but when you think about it, having to work with only a few seconds can help you be creative with your pictures in a different way, you can send whatever you want for example and have a lot of fun with it. With NixPic you can send some riskier photos or just those down right hilarious moments that can only be shared in a few seconds.
With all the talk of filters and HDR in mobile photography these days it’s perhaps hard to forget that focus is something that can dramatically alter how our your photos look. Being able to focus properly and akin to that of a dSLR on your smartphone gives you a whole lot more flexibility when it comes to framing your shots, what subject matter you can get in and how things will look on the other side. It’s a great app if you’re more interested in taking a good photo as oppose to editing one into a good photo.
If you’re someone like me, you appreciate typography quite a lot. I’ve never been the typical arty type but I absolutely love the effect a good font can have on something. It’s no longer just in written word either, with publications moving to the web more and more and institutions like ourselves becoming coming place, typography is a key thing of modern design. With Fontly, you can take photos of examples out in the wild, share it with others and discover other examples mapped by others. This is great if you’re looking for inspiration for an upcoming project or some form of art for a new move. It’s a great little app and something I’ll be experimenting with for some time to come.
6. News Fragments
A lot of us rely on Google News, sometimes we don’t know that we do as a lot of widgets us it as their main source. If you’re somebody that conciously navigates to Google News daily then this app is going to make you very ‘appy indeed. The app draws from Google News in your area and neatly presents you with up-to-the-minute news as soon as it hits Google News. The app is a simple, holo themed app that doesn’t try to do too much and keeps a wonderfully minimal look that we certainly wish other apps would follow.
This is one of those apps that might take some getting used to but once you’ve gotten used to the app you’ll wonder how you did without it. Essentially, GoToMyPC on Android is the same as it is on the PC, it handles the same functions and lets you access your PC from anywhere however, with Android now it really is ANYWHERE. The app works on a variety of devices and thankfully, Citrix have had larger screened devices in mind. There’s little more to it than that but, being able to hook into your PC from anywhere in the world is really pretty cool, makes you feel like James Bond almost!
It’s no great secret that the West is a big drinker and there’s nothing with that at all, quite frankly, without such a social lubricant I think they’d be even more crime. Enough of that though, here’s to beers! We all love to drink but in the last few years it’s become more common to appreciate what form our alochol comes in and not just take it in whatever form and how much we can. There’s nothing better than finding somewhere with a brilliant beer on offer, or maybe, with this new app there is. With Untappd you can share locations of great beer – craft or otherwise – and you can also find new places to enjoy the golden nectar. Have at it folks, and drink safely, yeah?
3. Orbitz Hotels
Finding somewhere to stay can be really stressful, especially when you’re on a budget or completely new to the area. With the arrival of Orbitz on Android though, things should become a lot easier from now on. You can do everything you expect to do on the website and you can take it everywhere you go, making that perfect deal even easier to find! It’s well worth checking out and is a quality app to accompany a quality service!
2. Wacom Bamboo Paper
This is a begrudging choice for me. I absolutely love styli now, this isn’t to say I have a Galaxy Note no, I just have a really fancy, quality Stylus and when I saw that the folks over at Wacom had FINALLY brought their Paper app to Android I was really quite excited but, I was cripplingly disappointed to realise that Wacom took a payoff from Samsung for exclusivity on the Note and S III line of phones. I reached out to Wacom to see what the deal was and apparently they’re “working hard” to get it working on other devices, I’m sure they are. It’s a very good app however and on the Galaxy Note line of phones it’s yet another string to the phone’s bow. It’s performance on the GSIII meanwhile also suggests good performance for regular phones but, realistically, Wacom should have released this on Android outright.
1. Dragon Mobile Assistant
This app hit the scene quite recently and it’s another in a long line of Siri like apps for Android. That isn’t to say that the app isn’t great in its own right because it is, it’s brilliant. Dragon Mobile Assistant takes on more a roll of actually assisting you rather than just another glorified voice search app, it’s tied in to a whole lot of online services and will respond to commands as well, making this a good choice for those looking to use their hands a little less. The app will only run on Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich and above but, by now, we hope that isn’t a problem for a lot of you. Go ahead and give the app a try, you might just save yourself some time!
Skype has just Updated its Android App on Google Play store to version 3.0, which brings huge improvements to both Smartphones & tablets.

Amazing Alex is set up in the same style as Angry Birds. Comic panels narrate the story between the various larger world sets.

The puzzles themselves have a ton of detail; even that smallest flourishes were given a lot of attention. You can get the Premium version of the game from the link below. Enjoy!
