Sure, you've had the oppertunity to get a Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX for Verizon from Amazon for just $199.99 since January. But what if for some reason you simply don't want to purchase it from the well known online retailer? What if you absolutely must get it from Verizon itself?
Well then, good news for you personally. Big Red(Verizon Wireless) has decided to cut the purchasing price of the DROID RAZR MAXX by $100 too, now finally matching Amazon's pricing. So yes, $199.99 is perhaps not you'll need to pay. You will need to pay the newly added $30 upgrade charge. Provided you agree to signing a brand new two-year contract, needless to say.
If you value life of the battery above the rest in a smartphone (including timely software updates), don't mind Verizon as the carrier, and would like to get a pretty high-end device too - the RAZR MAXX is it. It's the only it, actually, at this moment. And hopefully it's going to signify the start of a trend (of phone makers putting more focus on battery capacity), and won't be relegated to the history books as merely another niche offering. We'll see.

So, if you own unbranded versions of the Galaxy S II without the subsidy of a network have had a frustrating time, cause Three, Vodafone and O2 network users somehow ended up getting the Android 4.0 update first. And that's not how it usually works.
But now it's time for unbranded models to receive the update, with Samsung UK confired that the Android 4.0 is now out for the "XEU" versions of the Galaxy S II to enjoy. Here's Samsung's statement...
"Samsung UK has been working hard over the last few weeks to get Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) rolled out to all our Galaxy S II customers. So, we can confirm that ‘XEU/sim-free' and all network upgrades are now complete except for Orange and T-Mobile which will follow as soon as possible, pending software testing and approvals. Thanks again for your patience."
It also tell us that it will arrive soon for Orange and T-Mobile users as well.
And world gonna be at peace once again. Until this time next year, when the S III owners gonna be mad about not having Android 5.0. And so the wheel turns, as it ever did.

The Nokia Asha 302 is currently available in the UK. The first operator to stock it is Three of UK. The Nokia Asha 302 is among the three new Nokia Asha-branded S40 feature phones announced a week ago in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress 2012. It was leaked once before that, and it's a cheap QWERTY candybar for that masses.
It's quite cool how the Asha 302 took this short amount of time to go from announcement to availability. Service Provider Three offers it both on Pay Monthly plans as well as Pay as you go if you'd rather not agree to long-term contracts.
On contract, the Nokia Asha 302 could be yours free of charge starting at £15 each month. For that amount of cash you'll get 300 minutes, 5,000 texts, and 250 MB of information each month. In the exact opposite side with the spectrum sits Three's The main one Plan, that provides you 2,000 minutes, 5,000 Three-to-Three minutes, 5,000 texts, in addition to All-you-can-eat data for £30 per month. There are some other options though, make sure you check them out too prior to you making up your mind.
On Pay as you go, the Nokia Asha 302 costs just £89.99, meaning that unless you need a new contract, you're probably better off paying much upfront while not having to shell out money every month (no matter how little). But it's your decision after all. To obtain your Asha 302 now, head on over to Three.
The Nokia Asha 302 includes a 2.4-inch 240×320 display, single GHz processor, a 3.15 MP camera with video recording support, 256 MB of ROM, 128 MB of RAM, microSD card slot, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA, 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, plus a 1,320 mAh battery.

I guess you still remember how AT&T held exclusivity for iPhone sales in the US for many years - up until the Verizon iPhone 4 was finally launched last year. Well, the same thing has been going on in China.
When the iPhone first arrived over there, the exclusive carrier has been China Unicom. That's the second biggest carrier, as China Mobile (who's No.1) uses TD-SCDMA for 3G, a Chinese tech which hasn't so far been used anywhere else in the world and which Apple has been reluctant to include into its iPhones. So that left Apple with the choice of selling an EDGE device to China Mobile customers or going with China Unicom, which uses the WCDMA 3G that's also found pretty much everywhere across the globe.
But the Verizon (and then Sprint) iPhone launches meant that Apple now gonna make a CDMA iPhone. And China Telecom has a CDMA mobile network in China. So, Guys, starting today, for the first time there's some competition in China for the iPhone. China Telecom has started selling the iPhone 4S today, almost two months after China Unicom did the same thing. Although it's the smallest of the ‘big three' Chinese carriers, China Telecom will surely benefit immensely from the new partnership with Apple.

Samsung has reportedly signed a new deal with Blockbuster that may begin to have the company deliver thousands of movies to the Korean electronics giant's Galaxy smartphones and tablets, Blu-ray players and new connected Smart TVs. Smarthouse reports the service will be rolled out around australia, the usa and Europe this season, with American and European customers likely to see the streaming service offered in the first half of 2012.
Blockbuster is Australia's biggest provider of rental movies but has suffered in the usa as Internet-based Netflix and rental kiosk company Redbox have dominated the marketplace. The retailer was forced to close a lot of its stores included in a cost-cutting strategy and was recently acquired by US satellite broadcaster the Dish Network and will launch a fresh streaming service that may underpin the Samsung deal.
Paul Uniacke, CEO of the Franchise Entertainment Group, who supports the rights for the Blockbuster brand around australia asserted the Samsung deal "is a brilliant deal" that will see the service entirely on Samsung's array of televisions, Blu-ray players, mobile devices as well as PCs.
To facilitate the brand new service, Samsung is rumoured to become creating a new global billing platform that will permit users to sign-up and buy new media content, helping the Korean manufacturer extend its range of value-added services to better serve its customers across devices.
Thanks bgr for this update

Google latest Android version, Ics Cream Sandwich, may be tipped to start out rolling in the market to Samsung Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note models from March 1, mobile industry insider Eldar Murtazin reveals.Murtazin posted a tweet stating that the state update would reveal at the start of next month, finally delivering stable builds of earlier releases which had reportedly leaked from the Korean smartphone giant:
Eldar Murtazin@eldarmurtazin
Android 4 aka ics for sgs2 is going to be officially offered by march 1(depends from country/operator). Update over the air or using kies On December 20, Samsung
He confirmed that the Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab models would receive official Android 4.0 updates. It said both Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note would receive Frozen goodies Sandwich updates inside the first quarter of 2012, with updates for other smartphone and tablet devices following just after.Rumours also circulated at the end of last year that Samsung was working on delivering an Android "Value Pack" for the Galaxy S, after previously praoclaiming that the Galaxy S and original Galaxy Tab wouldn't support the new firmware. We were holding dealt a blow when the company informed The Next Web there have been no plans for therelease.
Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the discharge date so that it stays firmly as a rumour, but when it is correct then Ice Cream Sandwich is under 3 weeks far from making its way to your handset.

Google's Android operating system version 4. 0, better known by as "Ice Ointment Sandwich", has been slow to reach on smartphones and capsules (it recently debuted inside U. S. on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone). But Chinese tech company Lenovo used CES to introduce the main smart television with Google android 4. 0, a 55-inch 3-D (240Hz recharge rate) LED product called the K91. It's going to available in April : in China.
Lenovo is mentioning the user interface as the Sandwich UI-letting you move among video on need, Internet apps and of course regular TV.
TV apps are customizable by Google android developers. More than 100 apps are preloaded and you'll be able to tap into the Google android Market, a Lenovo store and Lenovo cloud services-you are able to share music, videos, pictures or anything else from tablets and devices and computers.
The TV carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor, 1 gig involving RAM, a hard get with 8 gigs associated with storage, plus a removable 2GB Sdcard.
There's also a built-in 5 megapixel camera for video chats, and also, as is the case Ice Cream Sandwich phones, to "unlock" the tv.
(Hopefully the facial recognition feature will work better than it does indeed on phones.) The handheld remote control features a touchpad, 5-way keys and a motion sensor. It may also respond, Lenovo says, to voice commands.
Lenovo is creating a 42-inch model as properly, but the company hasn't disclosed any of its TV plans for the U. S. market or even spilled the beans on pricing. Lenovo did tell me that despite the fact that the K91 employs Android, it is not a "Google TV".
