The popular Samsung Vibrant device that's exclusive to T-Mobile will offer 4G as an option, T-Mobile 4G network can go up as much as 21 mbps, while the G2, and myTouch 4G can only go as high as 15 mbps, according to TMnews.com

Moreover, the Vibrant 4G will receive the "highest level of promoting support from T-Mobile, plus additional assist from Samsung's Galaxy S campaign. This contains TV and Cinema promoting among different advertising methods.

Most Samsung Vibrant owners tell us that they are pretty angry at T-Mobile and Samsung for not coming out with the Android 2.2 for the Vibrant, which I am sure T-mobile heard an earful.

The so called High-Speed Access Plus (HSPA+) network will be similar to the 4G network from Sprint, it will get closer to 10 Mbits/Sec.  T-Mobile USA plans to launch the first smartphone for its newly upgraded networked in September.

The handset is understood to be the world's first HSPA+ smartphone, and it will be the first phone that is made to handle T-Mobile's upgraded 3G network with peak downlink network speeds of up to 21 Mbit/s.

The upgrade effort is a cornerstone of T-Mobile's growth strategy in the US. The fourth largest US operator has already rolled out the 3G upgrade across 25 markets, covering 75 million people, and plans to cover 185 million people by the end of this year.

Both Samsung Supersonic and Motorola Charm are upcoming T-mobile smart phone, the Samsung Supersonic is probably the Samsung Vibrant that was announced a few days ago, it's not a name change,  Supersonic is actually a code name according to Tmonews.

The Samsung Vibrant/Supersonic will run you $199 with a 2 years contract.  But $449 without a contract, which I think it's pretty fair considering how powerful the handset is.

Tmonews also revealed the price of the upcoming entry phone by Motorola, the so call Motorola Charm, the phone will only run you $79 with a 2 year contract.  It's another one of the feature phones that targets teens.

However, the Behold II is not upgradeable beyond Android 1.6."
