We will keep everyone posted if there are any changes along the way. But this is really exciting news as Verizon is addition more LTE capable handsets.

The national retail launch of Apple's iPhone 4 for Verizon started Thursday, and the early lines in a few New York locations were far from long.
At the Verizon store in Fishkill, N.Y. there were 12 customers lined up at 6:45 a.m. ET, where nearly twice as many Verizon employees were on hand to accommodate the sales rush. One employee carried a bullhorn, but didn't have much of an opportunity to use it. Other employees were handing out cold weather kits that included ski hats and hand warmers.
In lower Manhattan, at the Verizon store on the corner of Water and Wall Streets, 21 people were waiting to buy the iPhone. Based on interviews with those soon-to-be iPhone owners, roughly half were trading up from RIM BlackBerries. And most of those folks were people who had the BlackBerry Storm.
And while it was a ridiculously small sampling, there were some interesting patterns. Three people at the Wall Street store said they were coming to Verizon from AT&T and one from Sprint. Curiously, five people -- or a quarter of the sample -- said they were breaking their current two-year contracts to get the Verizon iPhone.

Some changes to Verizon Wireless's data plan, details below, there are difference changes to be implemented on the existing and new customers.
Important Information about Verizon Wireless Data Plans and Features
As part of our continuing efforts to provide the best experience to our more than 94 million customers, Verizon Wireless is introducing two new network management practices.
We are implementing optimization and transcoding technologies in our network to transmit data files in a more efficient manner to allow available network capacity to benefit the greatest number of users. These techniques include caching less data, using less capacity, and sizing the video more appropriately for the device. The optimization process is agnostic to the content itself and to the website that provides it. While we invest much effort to avoid changing text, image, and video files in the compression process and while any change to the file is likely to be indiscernible, the optimization process may minimally impact the appearance of the file as displayed on your device. For a further, more detailed explanation of these techniques,
please visit www.verizonwireless.com/vzwoptimization
If you subscribe to a Data Plan or Feature on February 3, 2011 or after, the following applies:
Verizon Wireless strives to provide customers the best experience when using our network, a shared resource among tens of millions of customers. To help achieve this, if you use an extraordinary amount of data and fall within the top 5% of Verizon Wireless data users we may reduce your data throughput speeds periodically for the remainder of your then current and immediately following billing cycle to ensure high quality network performance for other users at locations and times of peak demand. Our proactive management of the Verizon Wireless network is designed to ensure that the remaining 95% of data customers aren't negatively affected by the inordinate data consumption of just a few users.

Good news for folks who are in the market for a new android phone. The cool Samsung Fascinate and HTC Droid Incredible was lowered by $100 by Verizon Wireless, as you can see from the screenshot above taken on Verizon's webiste.
Verizon called this a Valentine special discount, but I think it's more about clearing the shelves to save room for it's all new Verizon iPhone 4.
The sale has come just after slips confirming that it was dropping rebates on all smartphones priced at $150 or higher. Most have pinned this change on Apple as well, as it often exerts strict control over pricing.
The change has been considered a positive by some since it prevents Verizon from putting the pre-rebate price significantly higher and skimming extra profit from those who forget to mail in their rebates properl.

One of the lastest rebate forms were reveal by BGR showing that there will be some policy changes at Verizon Wireless. Reported last friday that Verizon will get away from doing rebates all together and offers only for phones priced under $150 dollars. This means a customer will pay the final subsidized price when purchasing a high-end smartphone instead of paying an extra $50 and waiting to be reimbursed by mail.
As can be seen on the screenshots that go into effect on January 31st, nearly all smartphones priced $150 and higher have been removed. Examples include the BlackBerry Storm2 and Motorola's DROID x and DROID Pro. A few pricey phones still remain, such as the DROID R2-D2, but we're guessing a price drop to $149.99 will take effect tomorrow or Monday.

It's official: Verizon is going to offer iPhone consumers a $30 unlimited data plan. Verizon COO Lowell McAdam, told everyone at the company's meeting with investors.
"I'm not going to shoot myself in the foot," he said. Not offering an unlimited plan would put up a barrier for customers who might otherwise switch from AT&T, he said
Mr. McAdam certainly doesn't want to miss out on any sales now. Anticipation Verizon would soon offer the iPhone held back sales over the fourth quarter, he said. Analysts seemed happy with the subscriber growth, but McAdam wasn't. "It wasn't what I hoped it would be," he said.
