wmpoweruser.com reported that according to the smartphone's official page found at HTC USA's website, T-Mobile's HD2 will come with 1GB of ROM and 576MB of RAM - instead of 512MB of ROM and 448MB of RAM like the original version. Even more, the US version of the HD2 will be offered with a 16GB card in the box, and not with a 2GB one like the European/Asian version.
The HTC HD2 is so fast-and its screen is so big-that you might not even notice it's a phone. When you're watching a video, you'll think it's a TV. When you're working, you'll think it's a computer. When you're surfing the Web, you'll miss your bus.
- Immerse yourself. - This screen is our biggest yet, 4.3 inches corner to corner, with bright, lifelike 480x800 resolution.
- Keep up with people, don't keep track of messages. - See all your conversations with someone-from calls and e-mails to text messages and Facebook® status updates-all together, all in one place.
- Make your home your own. Change your home screen to create the perfect phone for you, with your apps and interests right on top.
- Be a weather watcher. The HD2 automatically checks the local weather, and then shows you what to expect with animated weather wallpaper.
- Keep in touch the way you want. - Stay close to friends on Facebook, Google TalkTM, and Flickr®. Master your tweets with HTC PeepTM.
- Do everything faster. - Qualcomm's latest processor, the new 1GHz SnapdragonTM, speeds up everything-from playing games to watching shows to opening files from work.

As everyone knows (or does not know) this is a subject I am following very close. The devs at XDA are working getting this up and running. A lot has been accomplished in the last couple of weeks but there is still a lot that needs to be done. You will probably see a massive amount of posts and videos on the subject. They also got ubuntu running on the HD2. The linux platform offers a lot of OS that now can be ported to the HD2.
There is still a lot of work to be done. And no set release date for a full working android build
I personally like the idea of dual boot as this will run from the SD card and will not interfere with Windows nor will it void your warranty. The best of both worlds.
