iPhoneThe newest version of Apple's operating system seems to hit the phones soon. It usually takes around two months for Apple to release a final version after launching three Betas, and Apple already launched Beta 3 few days ago. By our calculations this means the final version should arrive two weeks from now.

Sources are suggesting the operating system will be released around Valentine's Day, maybe even right on the 14th. It will be the middle of February, that's for sure.

Windows 7 new SDKMicrosoft announced those days that their new Windows Mobile operating system SDK has been already downloaded nearly a million times. This is a big number for the Finnish producer, as there are not many more sold mobile phones than 1 million. The reason behind this number may be the fact that the new update offers, for the first time, the copy and paste feature, which is something people really need nowadays to spare time and to make the usage of the phone faster.

However, the new feature looks awful, with the Finnish company not even thinking of designing it in a joyful way, as seen in the picture. But functionality should come before the design, shouldn't it?

After the release of the Android Market Website in the beginning of this week, many Android users tried to download applications on their computers but couldn't, because the website generated an error saying that no phone is associated with the respective mobile phone. Well, now we solved it and we are glad to bring you the right way of doing it.

Android Market

First, login into your account, click on "My Account" and then on "Recover password". You will then have to enter your current password to prove it's you. Access the "SMS" section and click "Edit". If your phone number is already there, then you will have to remove it. If it's not there, you just enter it and save. If it is there, after removing it you will have to sign out, then sign in again, go back to the same menu and put your number there again. Save and log out. After logging it, that's it, the problem is solved.

Motorola announced they will hit AT&T with the Atrix on 6th March, but something special will come alongside the handheld device. Motorola will allow users to buy a laptop dock together with the phone. Sure, it's only an option, no one will force you to buy it, but gadget users believe the dock is not very useful.

Motorola Atrix

The phone can be purchased for $190 alone and for $500 together with the laptop dock, but this high price might scare off potential buyers. The phone is powered up by a 1GHz processor and the above price is available with a two-year deal. You can get a $100-rebate if you buy both the phone and the laptop dock from the internet.

The pre-order begins next week, on 13th February, but according to AT&T it might even come out earlier.

For all of you out there who pre-ordered an iPhone from Verizon. Yeah, it's you I am talking to. Be glad, Verizon announced to have officially began the shipping actions for the pre-orders of the iPhone 4. The process of pre-ordering only started less than 24 hours ago and yet, Verizon seems to be already done to go out there and deliver you the devices.

However, Apple has a well-known history of delivering heavy shipping duties. Verizon might have already began the process to be able to match the release date of February 10. Don't get too excited about your item being shipped, it might take up to a week - or even more - to get the device in your pocket.

It may come as a surprise for some of us, or not, but Motorola cancelled the Android 2.1 update for the Cliq XT, which was planned to happen soon. The update was announced few months back and was even showed in the media. The community manager of Motorola stated in the press that though they tried their best, over the last months Motorola's developers did just not managed to create the perfect OS version for the Cliq XT. It's just not doable.

Motorola users became pretty annoyed and went in on the official forums ragging around about not buying a Motorola device again. Total understandable considering the fact that some bought a Motorola because of the Android 2.1 update promise.

Earlier reports suggest that AT&T will not accept sideloading on its HTC Inspire 4G. Basically, sideloading means to be able to download and install applications that are not developed to work with an operating system. AT&T's approach will not change in the following months, as the carrier decided sideloading non-Android applications will be forbidden and will not work for the HTC Inspire 4G.

Sideloading

However, there has to be some application that will make it possible, because Apple announced they will not accept installing non-Apple Store applications on their devices, and yet many hackers managed to create applications that are allowing you doing that - it's just not official and accepted by the company, but it can be done.

Blogger app on AndroidBlogger (or Blogspot) - launched in 1999 - is the second most used blogging platform in the world, after Wordpress which, in the last years, had a blast. Nevertheless, Blogger is still used by millions and millions of users. Now with Google owning the business, they thought it would be appropriate to create a Blogspot application for their operating system, so that mobile phone users can post on their blogs without having to fully load the website.

You will need to have Android 2.1+ to use the application and you can grab it for free from the Android Market. Now there's not any excuse anymore from not blogging from wherever you are on Earth.

3 February, 20113 February, 2011 Nokia Nokia

There's a bug report from MeeGo on the internet showing another leak of a Nokia mobile phone, which is possibly the N9 first leaked six months ago. Nokia didn't officially announced the phone yet, but it's expected to happen at the Mobile World Congress next week. The specs of the N9 include a powerful 1GB RAM and a 1.6GHz Intel processor, powering up the device running, probably, Nokia's new operating system.

Nokia N9 leak

Nokia lost a lot of field in the last years, and are still on top thanks to their incredible period until several years ago, so they certainly hope the N9 will be a hit on the market. With Wireless N connectivity, a WVGA resolution display and an FM transmitter, could the N9 bring Nokia back in the game?
