The Samsung Wave II S8530 is now available in the United Kingdom at O2 and Phones4U. The phone is the successor of the first Wave, the first smartphone ever to be powered by Samsung's Bada operating system. The device runs Bada 2.1, which is also the latest version of the OS and it is available already in Germany, South Korea and India. The device should have hit UK two months earlier, but it didn't make it in time.

T-Mobile announced through a press release that they are going to release the Samsung Galaxy S 4G later this month. There's no sign of a price tag, so we will not estimate, but get ready to pay more than $150 for it and tie you up on a minimum two-year deal with the company. This version of the handset is an upgraded version of the Samsung Vibrant.

The phone runs Android 2.2 Froyo and will be powered up by a Samsung 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. It will feature an ST-Ericsson M5720 HSPA + 4G modem enabling downloads at speeds of up to 21 MB/second. The camera is a 5MP one and the memory card of 16GB comes as pre-installed.

Apollo

Samsung's brand new handset, Galaxy Apollo, is heading to UK, according to different sources. They also say the phone is going to be found in T-Mobile's stores in the United Kingdom this August. Sure, the phone is not coming with so many features as other Samsung devices, but on a lower deal than the three-year deal, this device can be bough at a fair price. Maybe people are looking at the Apollo as a solution to this problem. The phone can also be bought on a two-year deal, and the price is affordable.

Apollo will probably also be sold under several agreements, but they may want to push it as a cheap device to attract more people.

Samsung Champ

Two news Samsung devices are soon available at Orange UK. Both are 3G-less, but the phones are at very good prices, and will probably be popular. C3300 Champ and E2550 Monte Slider can soon be purchased from the carrier on different plans.

The Samsung C3300 Champ is a touchscreen phone, with a 2.4 inch QVGA display, accelerometer, social networking integration, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, FM Radio, 1.3 MP camera and microSD support. The phone integrates different Samsung Applications.

The other defice, Samsung E2550 Monte Slider will also feature social networking integration, but it won't have a touchscreen. The display is a 2 inch 120x160. Other specs include Bluetooth, FM Radio and recording, 1.3MP camera and the same microSD card slot.

Wave

Samsung Wave, the device released by Bell one week ago, touched a really nice milestone: 1 million devices sold in the entire world, considering the phone was released four weeks ago on a global level. That's an impressive number, but it's not difficult to see why the new Bada-powered phone reached this milestone: it's kinda cheap. You can buy the Wave for $29.95 on a three-year deal, and with $299.95 off-contract.

This news comes only few days after Samsung announced they've managed to sell Samsung Galaxy S 200.000 times in South Korea, another impressive number. It's nice to see how Samsung gets forward on smartphone's market.

Samsung Vibrant

T-Mobile plans to push the release date of their new Samsung Vibrant a bit later, on 15th July, maybe to put their phone in a better light to combat the other hot devices releasing this summer, or maybe because other problems. This is about two weeks from now and I am sure people are really eager to have it now, when they know there's not too much to wait anymore. Anyway, this isn't confirmed yet, but it seems a good move from Samsung.

Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S for T-Mobile) utilizes a large 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED screen, is powered up by a 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.1. It has a 5MP camera with the ability to record 720p HD video at 30 frames per second. Some other specs include 3G, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. The internal storage is 16GB, the support is on microSD, up to 32GB and with a 2GB card included.

Samsung i5801

France already has the successor of Samsung Galaxy Spica (i5700). Actually, there are two successors. Two identically devices have shown up there at Orange. The carrier gets Samsung i5801 Galaxy Naos, available in black or white. It can be yours for exactly on euro on several deals. The other device is Samsung Galaxy Teos (i5800).

Both are getting the Android 2.1 with Samsung TouchWiz interface, a 667MHz processor, 3.2 inch 240x400 touchscreen and a 3MP camera. It's nice seeing Samsung's Android presence growing, but those two are not phones which can compare to the original Samsung Galaxy. I would rather call them low-end devices, because they do not offer anything special. Some other specs include Wi-Fi, microSD card slot, aGPS and 1500mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy 2

There are some new leaks circulating on the Russian internet, about the new Samsung i9200 Glaaxy S2. There is still an unconfirmed rumor, and the picture we got raises some doubts. They say the phone is going to be released around the beginning of 2011, se there are two more quarters to wait. Now, that's what it is inside of the device:

4.3 inch (1280x720 pixels) Super AMOLED 2 display, 2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, 21GB flash-memory (up to another 32GB on microSD card slot), 8 MP camera with Full HD video recording, aGPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headset jack, accelerometerer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors. It should also run Android 3.0, codenamed Gingerbread.

If the phone is really going to have those specs, then it's impressive. That's way more than the first computer I had and close to the one I have now. With a processor of 2GHz and 1GB RAM, the phone should run faster than any other device out there. The 8MP camera with full HD video capabilities is not a surprise, if that's the case, then it's going to be another plus here. Android 3.0 Gingerbread? Another good thing. That's a phone that I would really buy. Now!

Samsung Galaxy S

In under a week, Samsung sold 100.000 units of the new Galaxy S in South Korea, which proves how loved and appreciated is the brand in the Asian country. Now we have another hot information. Samsung doubled its sell in South Korea, reaching an impressive 200.000 units milestone there. And more impressive than the number is the fact that they reached the milestone in just 10 days. That's 20.000 each day since its release.

Samsung was looking to hit the maket and become appreciated with Galaxy S, and they did it, even if their best performance seems to be the one in South Korea. This device is set to be launched in 110 countries by the end of this summer. They may also reach 10% market share before the end of Q4 this year. Since the release of Samsung Instincs hasn't this company enjoyed such a good period, so it's normal they are happy and filled with joy. Way to go!
