Samsung C3300 Champ

Besides Samsung Galaxy S, the South-Korean company is also developing other phones. Now the new Samsung 3300 Champs is available and reports last months said the phone will not be more than $150. Well, it seems the rumors were wrong. The phone is around $170 in Germany, but this is really cheap for a country where €129 doesn't mean that much.

The new device can't be considered a smartphone, but is a handset for someone who is not interested in more than talking and sensing messages. THe phone weighs 80 grams. Is just like you can't even feel it in your pocket - that's cool. It features a 2.4 inch QVGA touchscreen display, TouchWiz, widgets, Samsung applications, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth and a 1.3 MP camera. It packs micro SD support and can hold up to 8GB. It also has a USA 2.0 port. In the pack you will also get stereo headphones and a stylus.

The phone is now available in Germany only, but will be available in other European countries soon. More, the handset will also be available in Asia, Africa, South America and Middle East. I doubt there will be a version for the United States, but who knows?

Samsung Galaxy TapeThe new Samsung Galaxy "Tape" will get on the market as soon as Android 2.2 operating system will be launched, says a Vietnamesse tech website. We didn't knew too much about this new handset, but now there are also some specs available for us. The smartphone will be powered up by an AMR Cortex A8 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHZ (which can be a hit) and will have 16GB on-board storage. There's also the option for a microSD card slot (expandable to 32GB, but available until 48). The battery will be a 4.000mAh.

There are actually two mobile phones that will be released with this name, the second being probably called "Mini". The 7-inch variant will have, for sure, the Super AMOLED Display Samsung used us with. Rumours suggest there is also going to be a name change in the process, but because we don't know anything for sure, we'll leave it like that.

So, about the launch date, there's still nothing sure about when Android 2.2 will come, but as we heard and told you earlier on, Samsung Tape will come as soon as Froyo will be released.

Samsung Galaxy SYesterday there was a rumor saying Samsung Galaxy S will be soon available in about 110 markets around the world and now we have the confirmation too. Today it was released in Europe, while the rest of the world, including the United States, will have to wait a little bit more. Anyway, the release date of the device in the rest of the world is not far. Samsung holds an interesting policy with the release of the phone, making it available at more than 100 carriers, meaning they do not want to force their users to tie up to a carrier to buy the phone. In my opinion this is a good move, because by limiting their users, they wouldn't do any good to their business.

With the release of Samsung Galaxy S started a month with lots of interesting smartphones on their way to the markets. We haven't heard anything about the release in the US, but it seems T-Mobile will bring the phone down there in about one month or two.

Samsung Vodafone 2The new Samsung Li-Mo R3-powered i8330 will be part of Vodafone 360 lineup in Europe and will very probably be called Vodafone 2. It has decent features, namely a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, an 800x480 Super AMOLED screen, 8MP camera with HD video recording, GPS, Wi-Fi and a touch of HSDPA.

Rumors suggest the smartphone should be released somewhere in the beginning of June, so if you are from Europe, then you might get it soon. We haven't heard anything about US pricing or availability.

Samsung Galaxy SEverybody living in Germany can now order the new Samsung Galaxy S from Amazon.de, the German version of the American website Amazon. This will cost around 649 euros off-contract. It's expensive, but immediatly as the smartphone will be officially released, you will have it boxed at home. It's still not known when the US carriers will have the smartphone available.

Samsung Galaxy S has a 4 inch AMOLED display, 3G, runs Android 2.1, packs a 5MP camera, has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and will be powered up by a 1GHz processor. The new Samsung is arguably one of the most expected smartphones this summer, and this deal might just be the one you want.

Samsung WaveHTC Legend will hit Bell soon, around 11th June, and now there is also a leak saying that Bell will also sell Samsung Wave starting this summer. We haven't heard anything regarding the price, but Bell usually offers smartphones with a three-year contract with not more than $300.

Samsung Wave (S8500) is a touch screen smartphone with a Super AMOLED screen, 1GHz processor, 5MP camera and will run on Bada, Samsung's operating system. The weight of the phone is 110 g. and the dimesions are 108.9 x 53.5 x 11.9. It can hold up to until 32 GB memory with a microSD card, has Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and 3.5 mm. headset jack. Samsung

It seems there will not be to long to wait until Samsung will release another three devices on the market. The T359, T479 and T669 will be released next month, on 23rd July, and T-Mobile USA will deliver them. The three devices are not smartphones; they run the TouchWiz platform and target a low-to-mid range segment.

T359 is supposed to be an update of the T349, released in May 2009, has a full qwerty keyboard and standard front keypad. It has a 1.3MP camera, full HTML browser has a QVGA or WQVGA display.

T479 is the replacement of Gravity 2, and may be called Gravity 3. It has a full qwerty keyboard, standard front keypad, QVGA display, supports 3G and offers GPRS/EDGE connectivity.

T669 has also a full qwerty keyboard, but it's a vertical one. It will include the same 2MP camera as the T479.
