Microsoft announced those days that their new Windows Mobile operating system SDK has been already downloaded nearly a million times. This is a big number for the Finnish producer, as there are not many more sold mobile phones than 1 million. The reason behind this number may be the fact that the new update offers, for the first time, the copy and paste feature, which is something people really need nowadays to spare time and to make the usage of the phone faster.
However, the new feature looks awful, with the Finnish company not even thinking of designing it in a joyful way, as seen in the picture. But functionality should come before the design, shouldn't it?

We don't know if they should have announced it today or not, but Microsoft's marketing division mentioned during a presentation that Windows Phone 7 will be launched soon. This October, actually. We don't know any other things about it, we don't even know if the operating system will be released with all the handsets ready to go, or if it will be a soft launch where they will announce prices and dates.
Anyway, October is pretty far considering the fact that iPhone 4 is already out and Android 2.2 is soon to be available. The new Windows Mobile from Microsoft can be very good, but there are users out there who don't want to wait so much until having the last version of an operating system.

Sometimes you just have to travel by bus or metro. There are no money anymore for gas and you don't want to bother to drive in that awful trafic out there. And your bike is broken too. Well, then you get the bus. Because you don't travel by bus so often, you have no idea when your route comes. Then you use BusTrack application for Windows Phone 7, which is cool and useful.
You will know the best time to leave the office or the house in order not to wait too much in the station. It plots out exact GPS locations of buses and stops and can even group your most frequent stops together by a "location". This way you won't have to bounce in and out for different routes. Instead of hearing me, you'd better watch this video.

After we talked about HTC Mondrian running Windows 7, we now have another phone that will run the same operating system. LG Panther, which is surely known it will work on WP7, will be powered up by a 1GHz (or faster) processor, will have WVGA (or better) display, at least a 5MP camera, maybe HD recording capabilities and a full qwerty keyboard.

Leaks showed us another photo of the model, which is not different from the last time we've seen something we shouldn't, but now we get the actual model in a better light conditions and with a new design of the keys. If the picture is from 12th May, it seems the device that will be released will almost fully look like the one above.

Do you remember your first computer, back in the '90s? Well, I surely do, and I can recall it had an AMD 750MHz processor. Nowadays, smartphones even reached the 1GHz milestone. Would you be surprised if they will come with something better soon? I wouldn't.
The new HTC Mondrian is rumoured to be powered up by a 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor. According to leaks, the surprise is, though the processor is also impressive, the fact that Mondrian will run Windows Phone 7, and not Android, as expected in the beginning.
Files from a leaked ROM showed this picture from left too. Sure, this is just a render, not an actual photo of the model, but the final design may not be too different from this. Anyway, the informations on HTC Mondrian are not officially released yet, so don't take it like for real, this is just a rumor.
