If there are football fans out there (I mean European football, not the awful American one), then you might have expected this period for a long, long time. Yes, it's that time in a decade when one of the World Cups happens and there are some new mobile phone applications for coverage, for news and many other things that you might be interested in. The Associated Press launched FIFA World Cup 2010 Application, which can be used in English, Spanish, Portugese and French. The user can modify the UI skin as he wants. 

Think about some exclusive photos, videos and interviews and you have pretty much everything you need before the start of the World Cup this Friday. You will have in your pocket every information you want, like stadiums, training grounds, crowds or regions showcased by the tournament.

Unfortunately, this will not be like AT&T's video live coverage from the World Cup, but as long as you have every information you need, you can also see the game home or in a bar. Video live coverage would also mean lots of money spent on something you can even see free on the internet.

Sometimes it just happens an application is crashing and you bevome very angry with the store or the provider. Well, if that's the case, from now on you have the Android error reporting system, announced at Google I/O. Just send the report to a developer, he'll fix it and send back to you, and that's that.

You will have the option to tell the developer exactly what went wrong and the developers will find all of those informations in the Android Market control panel. This is also a good thing for developers because now they also know what is wrong with their application and can fix them as soon as possible to provide the users a good experience.

Android Market is set to reach an incredible milestone those days. Upon almost reaching 100.000 applications available to download, they've also reached 1 billion apps downloaded already. Sure, Google didn't confirmed yet, but there are enough sources on the internet who think Android Market surpasses 1 billion already. Google is probably waiting for the 100.000 applications to be available and then they will announce both things. Anyway, 1 billion applications is an impressive number, no doubt about the fact that they fight for supremacy with iTunes.
