A chart with timelines for operating system updates is been made available today, as you can see. The big questions of the day is why CLIQ users will not have Android 2.2 support this year. There is going to be Android 2.1 update in Q2 of this year, which means soon (and everybody knew that there is going to be an update soon), but it remains the same question. On this chart there are not phones which will get Froyo update this year at all. 

If the CLIQ will get the Android 2.1 update soon, then the things are not so good for Backflip and DEXT users. They will have to wait until Q3 of this year to get the new operating system.

The Backflip is a touchscreen smartphone released by AT&T in march. It has a 320x480 HVGA display, qwerty keyboard, it is powered up by a 528MHz processor and packs 256MB RAM. The CLIQ (known as DEXT outside US) is powered up by a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, has 256MB RAM and sliding qwerty keyboard.
