Android 2.2 went live for Nexus One, but his "brother" from Europe will also get the Froyo soon. It's possible this update to come 23rd July, so you will not have to wait too much until you can have it if you own a Desire. The guys from PhAndroid spotted Froyo on XDA-Dev, a forum for developers.
HTC Desire, codenamed Bravo, is available at many European carriers at about $250, depending on if it's a deal involved or not. It has a 5MP camera, packs 512 MB RAM, is powered up by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and has a 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen.

Rumors say that Telus might be ready to sell HTC Desire in Canda, but the pundits are not suggesting any price ranges. We hear Telus will bring the phone in Canada around July or August, and will start selling it under a different name: HTC Triumph. It is obvious Triumph will have the same features as HTC Desire, being actually the same phone. Trumph will come with Android 2.1, Sense UI, Wireless, GPS, 5MP camera, microSD support, 1 GHz processor and 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen display.
This new product will be the third Android smartphone Telus sells, after HTC Hero, Motorola Milestone and Motorola BackFlip. All of them cost under $150 with contract. Without contract the Motorola Milestone is $599, the BackFlip is $299 and the HTC Hero is $499.

It's official now! The three models of HTC, Legend, Desire and Wildfire will be getting Fyoyo, the update for Android, in the next quarter of this year. Anyway, that seems far, but it's not. The third quarter of each year stars in July, so it's almost here. Sure, there is not going to be any Froyo update tomorrow or next week, because the third quarter is long, but rumors suggest there is going to come in a few weeks to a few months. Sure, that's not helping you too much, isn't it? We're sorry, but we don't know too much about it either.
Now we will only be able to wait for it, and I am sure there are many users out there who can't wait to update their operating system to the new Froyo, tipped to be way better than the 2.1 Eclair. Nexus One is the only phone which got a 2.2 update until now, but it seems there are also new three smartphones that are going to get it too.

The HTC Desire will be available soon at Telus, announced the carrier through a press release today. We believed that's the carrier to sell HTC, but there was nothing sure. Now there is. Desire will definitely be found soon in Telus' stores. Desire will come with a 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen (800x480 resolution) and a 5MP camera. The handset will run Android 2.1 and will be powered up by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
Telus will probably release the pgone in "back to school special", so the device will probably be on the market before the summers ends. As fast as we know the official release date, we will tell it to you, so stay tuned!

There's finally a word from Telus Canada regarding the availability of the HTC Desire HD. The handset is now stated as a soon-to-come mobile phone, but there are not any information regarding price, long-term deals or anything else. However, earlier reports suggest the price for the phone might be $499.99 off-contract, so the phone coming in February or March might have a price tag around this one.
The HTD Desire HD features a 4.3 inch touchscreen, Adobe Flash support, an 8MP camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, geotagging, 3.5 mm headset jack and GPS. The handset is powered up by a fast 1GHz processor and features a virtual memory if 768 MB. The internal phone storage is 1.5 GB and the expansion slot is available due to the microSD slot. The phone also features social networking intefration, tethering and Bluetooth 2.1
