New Zeeland, one of the countries that had to wait some time to get the new Motorola Droid/Milestone is now ready to have the handset. The new Motorola will arive in New Zeeland on July 1st and can be bought for a recomended retail price of $999 with Telecom XT. Surprising price, isn't it? I would ask why is the phone so expensive, but I doubt there will be someone out there able to answer. The launch of the new Motorola in New Zeeland may not be such a big deal for the US and Europe residents, but there is something big for them

After we found out Motorola is going to hit O2 and Vodafone in Germany, at a 349 price, we now found out another interesting information which can conclude like that: Motorola seems to love Germany. It seems Milestone XT720 will also hit at least a carrier in Germany. We don't know anything about the price yet, but many rumors are suggesting it may be close to 540 off-contract, which is pretty much in my opinion. We don't know when is the phone going to be available, and neither the carrier that will sell it.
The Motorola Milestone XT720 is a powerhouse model, featuring Android 2.1 and an AMR8 processor. It has an 8MP camera with Xenon flash and video capabilities (720p) and has a 3.7 inch WVGA screen. The card is a microSD that can be upgraded to 32GB. It comes with a default 8GB memory card.
