Windows 7 new SDKMicrosoft announced those days that their new Windows Mobile operating system SDK has been already downloaded nearly a million times. This is a big number for the Finnish producer, as there are not many more sold mobile phones than 1 million. The reason behind this number may be the fact that the new update offers, for the first time, the copy and paste feature, which is something people really need nowadays to spare time and to make the usage of the phone faster.

However, the new feature looks awful, with the Finnish company not even thinking of designing it in a joyful way, as seen in the picture. But functionality should come before the design, shouldn't it?

Virgin Mobile's second prepaid mobile phone is available at the specified carrier starting today. The price of the phone is going to be $150, which is a great price tag for this prepaid device, considering there's no contract or any other fee involved.

LG Optimus V

The phone will run Android 2.2 Froyo and will feature a 600MHz processor, 3.2 inch VGA display, (320 x 480 pixels resolution), 3MP camera and 2 GB of internal storage. The card slot is a microSDHC. Reports on the internet suggest that though the features are not extremely attractive for a mobile phone, the fact that there's no contract involved and the price tag is making users happy with their purchases.

Google Nexus One

We announced some time ago that Google Nexus One will be available in South Korea soon. The Android 2.2 powered device is now available through KT, the second largest mobile phone carrier in Korea. By giving Android 2.2 a go, they allowed every user to enjoy the latest features, including Adobe Flash 10.1 support, a faster web browser and enhanced voice recognition, which is available in many languages, including Korean.

Starting from today there are going to be 4000 devices available at the carrier. This doesn't seem to be too much, but the online retailers will also sell Google Nexus through their stores starting Monday and will offer the phone with around $577 off-contract. Anyway, it's weird Android 2.2 is available in a country like Korea when the newest operating system is not available in bigger consumer countries. Google announced there will not be too much to wait for the update to come in most of the countries. Maybe all of them?

Google Nexus OneThis January, when Google released Nexus One, they've also introduced to the market a mobile phone store, where you could have buyed this smartphone from. You could have picked the phone, the plan and mix between every option. The user didn't had to do many things for buying the Nexus One. It seems now the phone was not such a revolution because many producers preffered other models, as HTC or iPhone.

Producers as Verizon Communications didn't liked to give up control and decided not to sell Google's smartphone. Because of this and other companies, the mobile phone seems more a flop than a market-breaking release. It's obvious users like to see and control the phone by hand before buying it. When you buy a book or an HDD you don't need to, but buying a mobile phone (especially one that can cost more than $500 unlocked) is an important investition and you may need to research and compare a lot before taking a decision.

Google's online mobile store was not a good idea and they know it. Maybe know more companies will agree to sell Nexus One and the phone will spread around, but I've never seen Google as a good mobile phone producer. I don't really think they can match Sony Ericsson, Blackberry or Nokia and this is definitely in their disadvantage.
