Do you remember your first computer, back in the '90s? Well, I surely do, and I can recall it had an AMD 750MHz processor. Nowadays, smartphones even reached the 1GHz milestone. Would you be surprised if they will come with something better soon? I wouldn't.
The new HTC Mondrian is rumoured to be powered up by a 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor. According to leaks, the surprise is, though the processor is also impressive, the fact that Mondrian will run Windows Phone 7, and not Android, as expected in the beginning.
Files from a leaked ROM showed this picture from left too. Sure, this is just a render, not an actual photo of the model, but the final design may not be too different from this. Anyway, the informations on HTC Mondrian are not officially released yet, so don't take it like for real, this is just a rumor.

After we talked about HTC Mondrian running Windows 7, we now have another phone that will run the same operating system. LG Panther, which is surely known it will work on WP7, will be powered up by a 1GHz (or faster) processor, will have WVGA (or better) display, at least a 5MP camera, maybe HD recording capabilities and a full qwerty keyboard.

Leaks showed us another photo of the model, which is not different from the last time we've seen something we shouldn't, but now we get the actual model in a better light conditions and with a new design of the keys. If the picture is from 12th May, it seems the device that will be released will almost fully look like the one above.

Sometimes you just have to travel by bus or metro. There are no money anymore for gas and you don't want to bother to drive in that awful trafic out there. And your bike is broken too. Well, then you get the bus. Because you don't travel by bus so often, you have no idea when your route comes. Then you use BusTrack application for Windows Phone 7, which is cool and useful.
You will know the best time to leave the office or the house in order not to wait too much in the station. It plots out exact GPS locations of buses and stops and can even group your most frequent stops together by a "location". This way you won't have to bounce in and out for different routes. Instead of hearing me, you'd better watch this video.

We don't know if they should have announced it today or not, but Microsoft's marketing division mentioned during a presentation that Windows Phone 7 will be launched soon. This October, actually. We don't know any other things about it, we don't even know if the operating system will be released with all the handsets ready to go, or if it will be a soft launch where they will announce prices and dates.
Anyway, October is pretty far considering the fact that iPhone 4 is already out and Android 2.2 is soon to be available. The new Windows Mobile from Microsoft can be very good, but there are users out there who don't want to wait so much until having the last version of an operating system.

Puma, the worldwide known shoes seller, has now its own mobile phone too. Sure, the phone is not very impressive, the design is decent, while the performances are just ok. That'd not be the problem, anyway. Even Puma is spread worldwide, their phone is now available in only nine countries from Europe, Africa and Middle East. No USA, no Canada, and not many big European countries. What's cool about this phone? Well, it has solar panels on its back, so that's probably why it has been released in Africa first.
Pricing is also a little bit spicy for a phone if its calibre. About $500, but it depends on the country you want to buy it in. You would probably get it SIM-free too, which is cool, but that's not a price I would really want to pay for a phone like this one.
Some of the specs include GPS, sports tracker (not a surprise), mp3 player, e-mail and full web browser and photo / video camera.

We announced some time ago that Google Nexus One will be available in South Korea soon. The Android 2.2 powered device is now available through KT, the second largest mobile phone carrier in Korea. By giving Android 2.2 a go, they allowed every user to enjoy the latest features, including Adobe Flash 10.1 support, a faster web browser and enhanced voice recognition, which is available in many languages, including Korean.
Starting from today there are going to be 4000 devices available at the carrier. This doesn't seem to be too much, but the online retailers will also sell Google Nexus through their stores starting Monday and will offer the phone with around $577 off-contract. Anyway, it's weird Android 2.2 is available in a country like Korea when the newest operating system is not available in bigger consumer countries. Google announced there will not be too much to wait for the update to come in most of the countries. Maybe all of them?

This January, when Google released Nexus One, they've also introduced to the market a mobile phone store, where you could have buyed this smartphone from. You could have picked the phone, the plan and mix between every option. The user didn't had to do many things for buying the Nexus One. It seems now the phone was not such a revolution because many producers preffered other models, as HTC or iPhone.
Producers as Verizon Communications didn't liked to give up control and decided not to sell Google's smartphone. Because of this and other companies, the mobile phone seems more a flop than a market-breaking release. It's obvious users like to see and control the phone by hand before buying it. When you buy a book or an HDD you don't need to, but buying a mobile phone (especially one that can cost more than $500 unlocked) is an important investition and you may need to research and compare a lot before taking a decision.
Google's online mobile store was not a good idea and they know it. Maybe know more companies will agree to sell Nexus One and the phone will spread around, but I've never seen Google as a good mobile phone producer. I don't really think they can match Sony Ericsson, Blackberry or Nokia and this is definitely in their disadvantage.
