The rumors that Samsung is going to launch a Tablet PC no longer seem to be rumors. Director of Samsung Australia IT division while speaking with APC, said that Samsung is engaged with a Slate PC expected to be released in second half of 2010. He mentioned that it will be having a Computer like processing capacity and connectivity. According to him these were the limitations of iPad. He didn't provide any further details about technical specifications and features but there's a hint that it will be powered with Intel's Atom processor. Lets wait for it and see what actually the truth is.

HTC was very sure that their phones, the HTC Legend and the HTC Desire would never hit US soil, when asked at the Mobile World Congress. However, things are always subject to change, right? Boy Genius Report just received information that these two handsets are headed straight for our side of the water, complete with details on the carriers they will be available through.
Sprint, which currently carries the Samsung Moment and the Hero, is slated to pick up the HTC Legend; which very well may be dubbed the Hero2 by this company. The actual device may differ from the pictures we've seen online. Not a big shock, seeing that the current Sprint Hero can easily be told from the GSM version. Unfortunately, we can't find any time frame for the relase of the Hero2; however, with the way info has been leaking out lately, we should know something before too long.
According to the always reliable Boy Genius, the handset named HTC desire will be available through AT&T sometime in May or June. This should make AT&T clients estatic; as the competion is loading up on all kinds of Android phones, while AT&Tonly offers the Motorola Backflip. There may be a few minor outer design changes from what was shown at MWC, however it doesn't seem to be anything big. The word is, AT&T's version of the Desire will boast HTC's sense UI; unless AT&T is holding back a bigger secret, it will be the first phone from them that will have this feature.

A brand new WinPho 7 ROM was leaked to XDA developers, containing some very interesting information with it.
Since this info was leaked, the attentive members of the XDA forum have broken down the ROM and found some very desirable specs, including the phone image you see here (which truly could just be a simple rendition of the phone, or even just a placeholder. No one knows for sure)
The ROM that was leaked came from a device named the HTC "Mondrian" (the next generation of WinPho 7's Metro UI)
However, let's get to the specs!
The ROM from WinPho 7 shows that the new HTC "Mondrian" shows that is has a 4.3(?) 480x800 screen, (exactly like the EVO 4G), ran by a 1.3Ghz QSD8650A/B Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor (one that supports CDMA 3G and UMTS), and also an internal compass. Besides that, there was very little information, except that it most likely will not have an actual keyboard.
It is still too early to tell exactly how the HTC "Mondrian" will actually function; but with such a big processor and screen, you can be sure there will be many more posts about this phone in the near future. Keep a close eye on this!
