For the people that want a new phone but don’t know how to choose, this is my little help to you. There 5 Things you have to think about before you make these big and somewhat costly expenses.
(Form Factor)- There many different form factors and that is a very important part of choosing a phone.
Sliding- The most recent Form factor is Sliding, and that is what is in my opinion the best, you get a full keyboard and if you want a touch screen.
Bar- This is also a very good Form factor for the people who don’t mind using a touch screen or just a regular phone like a Blackberry.
Flip- This has been slowly leaving the Market but there some left, for the people that don’t want to pocket dial
Swivel- This is somewhat a good looking form in the sense you just push and it twist opens. Like the Sidekick series(except the Slide) and other phone.
(Smart or Dumb)- Choosing this is as important as choosing the Form Factor of a phone.
Smartphone- You get a lot of features, Apps and other great things. Like the Iphone or Touch pro2, there many OS’s out there like Windows mobile, Mac Osx, Nokia S60, Google Android and another Nokia Meome 5 OS.
Dumbphone- If you want an easy to understand and not to much things too worry and a phone that won’t brick.
(Functions)- There a lot of function phones can do this days that you will have a hard choice from. Lets take my phone for example. I have Wifi, Gps, Bluetooth, Touchscreen, Qwarty keyboard and a great 3.2Mp camera. There are a lot of features out there and all you have to do is pick.
Here is My Recommendations
For a Dumb phone/Smartphone- Iphone 3GS
For a Full Dumb phone- Samsung Impression
For a Full Smartphone- The HTC Touch Pro2
For low Expense smartphone- The Iphone
For Low expense Dumb phone- the Iphone
All around Good phone- The upcoming HD2 or SE X3(Rachael)

There has been a effort by the Blackberry developers and instead of people like other mobile phone company that has a new product and don’t update the still good but old phone. They have though about you guys and made a phone update for the first/original storm and I think this update is quite thoughtful and hope it comes with a lot of features but why hope when you can see a change log.

on-screen instructions. Thank you, Verizon Wireless
New software has been approved for the RIM Blackberry Storm (9530), and will
be available effective 10/25/2009 at 7 PM PST for customers. Communication
will be provided to customers via a "Pin Message" to their device stating:
Symptoms Resolved:
* Significant improvements in rotation detection and screen painting have been introduced in this software.
* Device displayed a white bar at the bottom of the screen after a rotation event.
* When setting a custom SMS tone for a single contact, this tone may playback unexpectedly for SMS' received from other contacts.
* When swiping down the virtual keyboard in an MMS message the send and save draft icons did not appear as expected.
* When viewing an SMS there was no simple way to call the current user. Now the user can select the number from the Callback Number field or from the message body and call that number from the pop up menu.
* The delete prior function has the unwanted side-effect of triggering the compose email screen.
* The user cannot configure their profile settings to increase the number of alerts when being notified of an event such as incoming SMS or email.
* Previous software versions did not allow the user to increase the count of notifications (i.e. Beep 5 times when when I get an email and beep 3 times when I get an sms). In this software, this is now allowed with counts from 1-10.
* When trying to set a home screen background of a certain resolution (more specifically a resolution matching either the width or the height of the native resolution of the LCD) it may have appeared as a black screen.
* When trying to edit/create a folder, the virtual keyboard did not render to allow the user to enter the names of said folders.
* Intermittently, when streaming a video while doing a handover to 2G on a 3G network the video would stop playing.
* If you paused a video recording and then resumed, the icon state may not have reflected the current recording state.
* After recoding a video of a certain size (7M) the saved video may be corrupted and unplayable.
* During manual network selection, the radio buttons associated with the networks did not render as expected.
* When moving out of coverage your device display for no coverage may have been inconsistent.
* During voice calls, your device may have reset on a rare occasion.
* After viewing and accepting the End User Licensing Agreement of the App World application the application doesn't startup (fixes introduced in the latest version of App World).
* On some rare occasions, the device may reset on its own during a voice call or while idle.
* During an MTP side load of 16GB of music, the device would leak memory and stop the transfer at ~75%.
* During device full boot-up, the progress bar skips from 0% complete to ~66% complete instead of showing a gradual progression (Note: from 66% to 100% it does show a gradual progression).”
That seems like a lot of great new features for us BB storm owner. The update should be out soon and you can get it for your phone. My only problem is I hope they are not like apple and relock my phone because I have t-mobile

Lately T-mobile has been on a role when it comes to both plans and more recently Phones. The United States 4Th biggest phone company has been doing a lot of work to find ways the can keep there current members and get more, instead of losing them to AT&T and such. They have finally started to catch up with the other Big companies in the phone department and the have beaten them in the Service plan department; all that is left is the Coverage department.

T-mobile USA Recently Started the Project black that I reported about 2 days ago. That is just a peace of what is to seem like a big step T-mobile is taking to better improve them selves, the just received Fcc’s Approval for what is to seem a blackberry heading our way. That isn’t all they have also received a lot of new smartphones lately for example my newest phone the Touch pro2, My next phone the Cliq and others to come like the HTC HD2 which is rumored to be coming to American waters next year. T-mobile is looking at a very successful next year, but there not stopping at phone.

There has been some talk that T-mobile’s #1 reason for loosing costumers is because of bad coverage. This is true, T-mobile USA recently started there 3G rollout, and by recently I mean last year. The 3G coverage is By far the worst between the 4 Major companies, and T-mobile owners and Cfo noticed this and they have said before that they are trying to get a bigger 3G map, but so far there are only major cities that have the luxury of this great 3G coverage. A couple of weeks ago the Cfo mentioned that the are thinking about 4G wimax or Lte being there next plan for the USA and that is exciting to current and future T-mobile costumers, But I think they should worry about 1 Think before the other. They have Promised a nationwide HSPA+ rollout which will make it the first company in the USA to do so, but still not the fastest because sprint already has 4G, but no phones to go with it.

Two of the Mobile phone heavy weights have had some recent news. The current champ, weighing in at 157grams is the HTC HD2, that is now up for pre-order on Amazon uk’s site for around $900, which is a lot for a phone that the have for $750 in other site, so if you want first go at this awesome phone you better get to your bank teller soon. This phone is going thru a lot and I bet HTC will be happy when it is released and everyone has one in there pocket (if it can fit).

On the side is the super smart phone king running a version of Linux, weighing in at 181grams is the Worlds largest phone makers new play toy, the Nokia N900. This beast of a phone has been pushed back a couple of weeks to November. If you’re a person that likes a smartphone but don’t feel like putting up a new high powered computer for it, then I suggest this phone is a good phone, even this it doesn’t have the HD2’s massive screen it is only $650 on the Nokia site and I bet Amazon will have a crazy sale soon and sell it for around $499, but don’t get your hopes up. This phone comes with everything the HD has to offer except the screen size and the muli touch and Windows mobile. This phone does have a 3 row keyboard which the HD2 does and also a Linux based System called Meomo 5 and from the videos, it seems like its pretty good and it is also a live task manager based phone like the Palm pre, just not as flashy. So if you have an extra $650 laying around and you feel like having something new in your pocket to replace your wallet, I would go with this
