This is my short and Personal review for Windows Mobile 6.5. Microsoft has been making it a big hype out there like there is a lot to offer as an upgrade, so I think it needs a little review since I have 6.5 right now, let’s get to it.

Style

This is where Microsoft didn’t do much but still a little for it to matter. They changed the drop down start menu and put in a new and in my opinion better page start menu. They also added Kinetic scrolling so now more side bar locating and hoping that you’re hitting it right. They biggest changes the made to it is to make buttons more Fingers friendly and easy to press. Other than those I really don’t see any other changes to the Main OS for example the Media player is still ugly and sucks, the Contact and outlook still looks bad and the Dialer has changed. Microsoft has a lot to do till the release of WM7.0 and from the leaked images I think this might be something good that the didn’t release it now.

Under-The-Hood

This is the easiest on to review, there is no difference, it’s the same thing since 6.0, maybe since 5.0.

Usage

This Os even tho there isn’t much change there is better speed, but it comes with a cost of memory and Power, which if your me you have a lot.

New Apps

Funny I should say that with the unveiling of there brand spanking new app store. There has always been a lot of apps available to windows mobile from small Developers for free and now with the app store people can get a lot of apps for there phone. There isn’t up to 1000 apps there last I checked but that number will change soon, also there are more than 21,000 apps for windows mobile but not all made it to the store. This new app store is great and it will help with development on windows mobile turf

       When your a person like Me that Has Too Great phones in his hand you have to compare it. That is were i got the idea of comparing the Touch pro 2 to its somewhat Big, but older Brother The Touch HD. These phones might have the same insides but when you look at performance and other factors, they arent very similar. Well you will see for yourself in the video comparison

           Have you seen star wars when the have Fuel cell things, well now your Mobile phone can do that. Toshiba Just announced there latest project for mobile phone, The fuel cell Charger.

            While most chargers use electricity from either they wall or your cars cigarette lighter. Those days are over, well it is if you have 220euro’s in you house and you feel like giving that up to be able to charger your phone anywhere in the universe with out being stuck to a wall.  This will be called the Dynario and it wont be sold with phone it will be sold as an extra for the people that would like it. This gets the title of the First publicly sold Fuel cell charger.

            This works in a very simple but complex manner. The way this works is when you take the provided 50ml of methanol, you put just enough inside the Fuel cell charger and in 20 Seconds it’s charged up and ready to charge your Phone. The 50ml container is good for 3 Goes then you need more. There will be a limit amount of 3000 Units available at release so if you want one, you better get on it, but if you need some time, don’t worry more will be available Soon.

Well this is for you.Steve Ballmer the CEO of Microsoft today during a meeting on Engadget said for the Wm fan boys, or the Zune fan boys, that the will be getting a mix off both on the next windows mobile, windows mobile 7 which is to be released next year unless the find another reason to push it back. This also means the death of the much hated Windows Mobile Media Player, Thank god for this day. They OS will be release for Special super high tech phones that meet the requirements to even been considered. We all have apple to thank for all the new changes in mobile tech, Steve also said in a different interview that there goal was to kill the iphone, and I think that sounds like a great plan, and considering all the work the seem to be putting into this, it will happen.

    While the UK is waiting, It seems like HTC is releasing a HD2 with orange over in Romania. The Biggest phone company in Romania has just received some HD love and will be releasing the HD2 very soon and by soon, I mean December. The company has all the good phones (TG01, Touch Pro 2 and more) and there adding the Very big screened very sexy Hd2 on there brag list. The phone will come with WM6.5 preinstalled, so people don’t have to worry about the process of doing so themselves.

This phone has as 4.3In capacity screen (multi touch), wifi, Gps, 3G and more. It all comes In a thin 12mm Phone with everything you would need to lets say show off to your friends with an iphone.

           While HTC is out there making The Name Well known as a new Company, Sony ericsson is In here try to fight to keep theirs relevant. The Joint Venture Campany have not been doing so well lately, there last smartphone the SE X1 didnt do as well as the would hope, So they went back in and started something new with a little concept change and thats how the X2 was born.

          Their Upcoming flagship phone the X2 is going to be a WM6.5 powered smartphone. The specs for the phone is pretty good, but i would have hoped the would have made the screen a little bigger, because at 3.2inch it isnt so large. They Keyboard looks very impressive and i like the design, im a heavy texter and in my opinion whatever can get my massage out there faster is a plus in my book. Other features that the phone has is At&t 3G, 8Mpx Camera with flash, Wifi, Qualcomm 528Mhz processor and a 1500MAh battery.

        This phone Might shape out for a great sucess and maybe it will get SE as one of the Good Smartphone Makers again. The FCC approval makes us 1 Step closer to See this nice peace of High tech device on shelf in selected store and hopefully in your pockets by the Holiday's.

      Microsoft has been in there kitchen cooking up some hot new OS for the Phone lovers, And this is there latest Project. WM7.0 was the Original 6.5, but Microsoft didn't see it fit to be called a new Os so the renamed it 6.5 and said the will release 7.0--A new OS Build from the Ground Up-- Next year.


There have been a lot of talk and from what i see I am pleased with what Microsoft is doing and I think they are spending a lot of time and money into making a perfect fully customizable OS, to beat there major Rivals The Iphone's Mac Os, The Pre's Web Os and in my Opinion the less impressive Storm Blackberry Os. 


This image shows you all the new things and the Changes that is to come with this upcoming Os and it looks Very Finger Friendly, Fast and Extremely sexy. It illustrates that the Top bar is no longer used for anything other that statues, everything is press able, and the important information will always be there for you to have, This is good, I can see that in 1 year, Styluses will be a thing of the past. Even tho this seems complete there are still a lot more we dont know about WP7.0 but from what we are seeing There is a lot to come and it will offer us a lot of new features we can be proud of.
