Galaxy S5 GPE

 

After too many rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is getting a Google Play Edition very soon. A Photo of the Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition has appeared on the Official Android Website (Android.com). The Photo shows a white Galaxy S5 running Pure Lollipop 5.0 along with photos of the other current GPE devices.

According to some trusted reports we received, Google will release the Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition with Android Lollipop Pre-installed on the device sometimes during November,2014. Looks like the company delayed the release of the device until the Android 5.0 Lollipop final version is official. Of course it will pack the exact same specs as te current Samsung Galaxy S5.

Galaxy S5 vs. iPhone 6

Believe it or not, The first Apple iPhone 6 GPU benchmark results have popped up on the Basemark X testing suite, delivering a very below than expected results. The iPhone 6 scores 21,204 points only with a 750p display.

The Unbelievable thing is, the 6-month old Samsung Galaxy S5 scored 23,501 points with its Adreno 330 GPU and screen of higher 1080p resolution, which is much a much higher score than the the just released iPhone 6, considering the the S5 has double the screen restitution of the iPhone 6 (750p vs. 1080p). This is a BIG Win for Samsung...

 

The Apple iPhone 6 utilizes the company's latest A8 chip with a dual-core 1.4GHz Cyclone CPU and the graphics unit in the A8 is the Hexa PowerVR GX6630 GPU.

Galaxy S5 LTE-A

 

Samsung has released the European Galaxy S5 LTE-A (SM-G901) firmware hinting at the phone's imminent announcement. The firmware is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is available in the UK and Switzerland. As time passes, Samsung will roll it out to additional European countries as well.

 

With IFA 2014 in Berlin fast approaching, we suspect Samsung might announce the Galaxy S5 LTE-A for Europe at its press event on September 3. Unless Samsung decides it doesn't want its Galaxy Note 4 to share the spotlight. The European version of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A differs from its South Korean sibling in a few key areas.

The 5" Super AMOLED screen is of 1080p resolution, not QHD. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Samsung's Exynos 5430 chipset with 2GB of RAM. Its South Korean sibling packs a Snapdragon 805 chipset, QHD screen and 3GB of RAM.

Mophie has unveiled a Juice pack for the Samsung Galaxy S5 a 3,000mAh battery case that promises to double the battery life of your Samsung flagship.

 

The Juice pack sports Mophie's usual design and supports USB 3.0 for charging and syncing. The case also doesn't block NFC connectivity, which is also required for S Beam.

Galaxy S5 4G+

 

After releasing the S5 LTE-A, Samsung announces as new variant of the Galaxy S5 called the Galaxy S5 4G+ and it be launched in Singapore first SingTel's new LTE-A network on August,23rd.

 

The Galaxy S5 4G+ is mostly similar to the US model except for one major difference; this model runs on the Snapdragon 805 chipset, same as the Korean model. However, unlike the Korean model, the 4G+ does not have a QHD display but rather the same Full HD display from the US and international models.

 

The Galaxy S5 4G+ will be available in six different plans on SingTel, it will priced starting from $688 (Singapore Dollar).
