We knew that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 was going to be the most powerful Android chip, just like it was last year, but if the latest Geekbench score is anything to go by, it has met its match and then some! Apparently, the Galaxy S9 international variant aka, the Exynos 9810-powered version of Samsung's upcoming flagship handset scored 3648 on the single-core test and 8894 on the multi-core test, both of which are significantly higher than the previously leaked scores of 2400 (median) and 8400 (median) of the SD 845. The Exynos's score looks particularly impressive if you look at the single-core score, which is more than1200 points ahead of the SD 845's single-core score and that's mighty impressive. It looks like rumors regarding the SD 845 being a mid-level chip in comparison with the Exynos might just have some truth to them after all!

The Exynos variant was identified as the model number clearly states SM-G960F; which would most obviously be the S9's international variant with the Exynos chip. Take a look at the leaked screenshot for more details.

It has been a few days now since Samsung first began updating the Galaxy S8 and S8+ with the final Android 8.0 Oreo version in India, Poland and France, but those updates were only reserved for the Galaxy Beta users. As expected though, the same update has now also started to roll out for the regular users who did not sign up for the Beta program.

This time the list is quite expansive as SamMobile earlier confirmed the fact that the update is seeing release in India, UAE, Turkey, Belgium Norway and Germany. This isn't necessarily a complete list though, because it is perfectly possible for you to receive Android 8.0 Oreo even if your region was not mentioned here. In fact, by the time you are reading this, we are pretty sure that a few other countries are also seeing the update rolled out to S8 and S8+ users. Just in case you are wondering, the firmware version remains G950FXXU1CRAP/G955FXXU1CRAP for the Galaxy S8/S8+, just as it was for the beta testers.

In the meanwhile, check out our firmware section to find all the latest updates for your Samsung smartphones and tablets.

You have probably already heard that Samsung has started to push out the Android Oreo 8.0 update to various sections of the globe for the Galaxy S8 and S8+, but at this moment we are not sure about all the areas that are getting the updates. As per reports from various sources and websites, India, France and Poland are the regions that are getting the update as of now, but if you can see the update for your phone and you reside in some other area, do let us know about that in the comments.

A point to keep in mind is that the update is only going live for the users that had signed up for the Galaxy Beta program on their devices. If you didn't, you will have to wait for a few more days before the same becomes available for you, in a much larger package. As far as this OTA update is concerned though, it comes in with firmware version G950FXXU1CRAP and G955FXXU1CRAP for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively.

In the meanwhile, check out our firmware section to find all the latest updates for your Samsung smartphones and tablets.
