Are you looking forward to upgrading from your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 To Galaxy Note 8? After its release in August 2017, the Galaxy Note 8 was acknowledged as the latest addition to the list of Galaxy Note Smart Phones which are powerful and feature-laden. The handset undoubtedly is powerful and one of the most attractive presently available on the market. However should owners of Galaxy Note 4 upgrade to the latest version?

The range of these devices from Samsung has had a set of problems with the previous version which was introduced as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 developing a flaw in the battery in a few handsets which caused spontaneous fires and led Samsung to abandon the set altogether. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which was released in 2014 continues to remain one of the most popular among the handsets released by Samsung despite having some problems with regard to downloading kies though accessing Internet casinos does not seem to be a problem with this particular handset. It was also easy to download Samsung Galaxy Note 4 wallpaper according to relevance from the handset without going through many difficulties.

The 4th generation had a large body and a rear which was textured and was considered as a large handset when it was introduced. It just had a screen which was 5.7 inches. It also had its problems because people in some parts of the world couldn't download Samsung kies for note 4 and Samsung kies galaxy S4 but downloading Samsung kies for Mac was possible. However, fans of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could have the bet365 mobile app android on the handset for entertainment with casinos whenever they required.

The 8th is certainly different from the earlier version and is also heavier and thicker. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features the infinity display from Samsung giving a clear indication that a major portion of the handset's front is covered by the screen. Samsung has abandoned the concept of a home button and has instead preferred to offer alternatives to software. Unfortunately, the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back of the handset making it rather inconvenient and the option of removing the battery has also been discontinued. However, the changes introduced have allowed Samsung to make the handset water resistant.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a display which is 6.3 inches along with a quad HD + resolution giving users a higher pixel density by some margin as compared to the galaxy note 4. Samsung has included the QUALCOMM Snapdragon 835 chip which is faster and is providing a 3GB RAM along with 64GB of storage which is an upgrade that can be considered as huge. Most importantly the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Is Available with Android 7.0 Nougat and it is believed that the Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade would be available at some time in the near future.

Despite the differences which are evident in Samsung Galaxy Note 8 people may want to consider whether they are willing to pay a high price for the fresh introduction as compared to the Galaxy Note 4 which is still available from online retailers for about $515. The Samsung Galaxy Note S8 is still available for around $550. Therefore fans of the galaxy note models would want to understand why they should be paying in excess of $850 for upgrading from Galaxy Note 4 to the latest version.

While f/1.7 aperture was only starting to gain recent popularity among select flagship handsets, Samsung has just launched a smartphone which boasts of an exclusive f/1.5 aperture. In case you are wondering, lower is better here.  A lower aperture translates to clearer pictures in low light situations so this is great news. The smartphone in question is the W2018 and it's a flip phone! Yup, you read that right, Samsung is still holding onto the flip phone formula in China and yes, it's a China exclusive phone unfortunately.

Other specs of the device are more or less in line with major flagship handsets from Samsung and they are as follows.

Twin 4.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED displays

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC

6 GB of RAM

64GB of internal storage (a 256GB model could be in the pipelines)

12-MP rear camera/5-mp front camera

2,300 mAh battery

Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Colors: Elegant Gold and Platinum

Price: Possibly close to $2,000 or higher!

If it was available near you, would you pay $2,000 for this? Let us know in the comments.

Forgetting our passwords is something that most of us have faced at one point of time or the other, but Samsung might be preparing a solution for their forgetful customers according to a new patent which they have filed. Apparently, Samsung is developing technology which will allow for palm scanning to help you remember your password.

As far as we can tell, the front camera of the smartphone will be used to take a picture of your palm and the palm scanning technology will start dropping hints if you happen to have forgotten the password in question. This essentially makes it safer than face scan actually, since people will likely have a hard time finding a clear picture of your palm anywhere! Even if someone is looking at the screen while you scan your palm in for a hint, they won't have any real idea about the password as the smartphone will only show you the hint and that too in a cryptic manner, hidden along your own palm lines. As you already know the password and the associated hint, it will be enough for you to remember it. All this sounds amazing, but we will have to wait and see how it works in the real world on release.

Samsung has now officially developed and patented the graphene ball tech which makes lithium-ion cells used in smartphones last a lot longer. As per reports, the utilization of graphene ball can not only make li-ion batteries last up to 45% longer, but it can also make the cells take charge up to five-times faster than before! To put that in a real world scenario, consider the fact that the Galaxy S8's 3,000mAh li-ion battery takes roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes to get fully charged from 0%-100%, but with graphene ball, it would take about 15 - 20 minutes or less to do the same! If that's not incredible, then we don't what is!

Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) was the division responsible for developing the technology, but that's no surprise since the division has been behind developing breakthrough tech for quite a while now. Another one of its recent successes include introduction of the cadmium-free Quantum Dot display tech used in Samsung QLED TVs. Does this mean that we will see the Galaxy S9 debut with unbelievably fast recharge times and incredible battery life? Not really! It's just a patent and there's no guarantee that grapheme ball will be ready by the time Samsung goes into mass production with the Galaxy S9.

It was just about a week ago that the Galaxy S8 Microsoft Edition became available for purchase via their online store and now the Galaxy Note 8 Microsoft Edition is available there as well. It's the same Note 8 though in terms of hardware, but the Microsoft Edition does have a few Microsoft exclusive software bundled in with it. Cortana and Microsoft Explorer stands out among the list of included software as the most prominent ones, but there are also a few others included.

You can buy the handset right now for exactly $929.99, but you would probably do well to hold out till the Black Friday deals hit. Do keep in mind that the Microsoft Edition only includes the 64GB version, so you are out of luck if you were looking for the higher storage version. Is there a reason that justifies buying the Galaxy Note 8 Microsoft Edition over the standard edition? Umm... Not really! Nevertheless, feel free to do so if you wish! The included software might be a nice touch.
