Oppo Reno

 

The OPPO Reno mobile features a 6.4" (16.26 cm) display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and operates on Android v9.0 (Pie) operating system out of the box. The Oppo Reno is powered by Octa core (2.2 GHz, Dual core, Kryo 360 + 1.7 GHz, Hexa Core, Kryo 360) processing chip. It comes with 8 GB of RAM. Although to keep running such a large display it has 3765mAh which doesn't seem enough. The screen to body rato is 56.23% and has AMOLED display.


The key selling point of Oppo Reno is its photography ability. It has tried to remove the limit the optical zoom in mobile phone. A 48MP ultra-clear main camera, 13MP telephoto lens and 8MP wide-angle lens make up the Reno 10x Zoom tri-lens setup. Because of these three lenses with different focal ranges, this achieves a full bandwidth of 16-160mm, an effective focal length 10 times that of an ultra-wide-angle lens. The tri-camera setup complemented by dual OIS for ensuring stability even when fully zoomed on hand-held operation. It has Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor supporting a resolution of 8000 x 6000 Pixels and the front snapper is powered by a Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor. Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer.


Oppo Reno is powered by a Sony IMX 586 48MP ultra-clear camera. Its 1/2.0'' ultra-large sensors and f/1.7 ultra-large aperture along with MFNR and HDR software algorithms, which protects pictures from getting over-exposed and create stunning details even in low-light. Due to AI portrait optimization for night photography the device can differentiate between subject and its background at night, ensuring a professional photo. For security it has on screen fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with fast charging and it supports dual SIM, GSM, Dual VoLTE, The device is available in Jet Black, and ocean green. For graphics, it uses a Adreno 616 GPU which helps to make video games run smoothly. For network connectivity it has Wi-Fi, Blutooth, USB, and GPS.

When we talk about the premium smartphones, OPPO comes very far in the line. The company is primarly focusing on the budget-friendly smartphones for its users such as the Oppo F series which is doing very well in the big countries like China and the India. The latest smartphones in the same category were the oppo F11 and the oppo F11 Pro which were launched earlier this year. Until last year, Oppo also used to sell the upper mid-range R series, the culmination of which was the Oppo R17 and the Oppo R17 Pro.


This year Oppe release two smartphones in the Reno series - the regular Oppo reno and the flagship Reno 10x Zoom. The regular Oppo Reno was an upper-mid range phone with the Qualcomm snapdragon 710 Soc, but it had a short life cycle. The Oppo Reno 10x zoom, on the other hand, is a full-fledged smarphon with a 10x hybrid zoom telephoto camera. The phone is powered by the the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, and a big 6.6-inch AMOLED display. The Reno 10x Zoom is also priced lower than last year's Find X. In indian market, the starting variant of the phone is cheaper than the OnePlus 7 Pro which is interesting.


OPPO then launched the OPPO Reno2 mid-range phones in India, consisting of the Reno2, Reno2Z, and the Reno2F. However, the Reno 10x Zoom still remains the company's flagship phone. The Oppo Reno 10x zoom has a 6.6-inch OLED display with 1080 resolution and 19:5:9 ratio. It uses gorilla glass 6 for the protection. There are two variants with 6GB and 8GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB storage. The battery is 4065mAh and fro security it uses optical in-display. It uses 48MP as primary sensor, and 13MP telephoto sensor, and 8MP 120 ultra-wide sensor. It has 16MP with front-facing LED for the front camera.

Some residents of Minneapolis, Minnesota will soon have access to superfast Internet, thanks to US Internet, which has recently announced that it will offer a mind-boggling 10Gbps broadband speed to both residential and small-business owners in the city. Just to give you an idea, this is 10 times the speed of Google Fiber, which is currently available in Kansas City; Provo, Utah, and Austin, Texas.

"The launch of our 10 Gbps Internet service will make Minneapolis the first city in the world to receive access to the Internet at speeds never before experienced in our country, or any other country for that matter," U.S. Internet CEO Joe Caldwell said in a statement. The service will be available for $400/month + a $99 installation fee.
