We admit that these specs, along with all the leaked images and videos do not leave much for the imagination, but then again, they are only rumors. We will know what's what in just a day's time though. Samsung is still sure to have a few surprises in store for us; We only hope that they are good ones!

As the iPhone 7 is about to be unveiled in just two days, rumors are piling up as usual. Therefore, to make things easier for our readers, here's a shorter version of what we know so far.

Chip: Apple A10 (2.4GHz expected)

Internal Storage: 32GB, 128GB and 256GB

Color Options: Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Dark Black and Piano Black

RAM: 3GB for the iPhone 7 Plus and 2GB for the iPhone 7

Camera: Single 12mp camera for the iPhone 7 and dual 12mp cameras for the iPhone 7 Plus with optical zoom, OIS and a 4-LED flash

Display: 1080 × 1920 Full HD resolution for the iPhone 7 Plus and 750 × 1334 pixels for the regular iPhone 7

Additional improvements include a laser powered proximity sensor for efficient recognition of hand gestures, a Force Touch Home button and a IPx7 water resistance certification that will keep your smartphone safe underwater (up to a meter) for thirty minutes at a time. Unfortunately, there will be no 3.5mm jack on the new iPhones, but you will still be able to use your 3.5mm headphones, thanks to the bundled Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter. The box will also include Lightning EarPods, in case you don't want an adapter hanging out of your pocket.

It only seems yesterday when it was all about Android N 7.0 and what it was going to be called on release, but now that time is well behind us. It's all about Android O now and the official release of the latest Android operating system isn't that far away anymore either. In fact, Google has just released the fourth and the final version of the Developer Preview firmware, which essentially marks the end of Android O previews and is a signal that the final version is almost ready for public release.

All Pixel devices and qualifying Nexus devices have already started getting the latest edition of the Android 8.0 preview but if you don't have it yet, it's going to land on your device anytime now. This is almost exactly what the final version will look and feel like, albeit with a few minor changes and improvements. However, reports indicate that the fourth version is already pretty stable and smooth. If you are wondering when Samsung Galaxy devices are going to get it, it's still a long way off, given that Samsung isn't the fastest when it comes to rolling out firmware updates! Nevertheless, the Galaxy S8, S8+ and the Galaxy Note 8 will be the first Samsung devices on the waiting list.

Android Lollipop

We all still waiting for the final version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop to be released, so that manufactures can start preparing for their OTA updates.

Today, Google officially announced that "Android Lollipop Day" is November,3rd... This day will be the day we see the official Final version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop Images. Google announced that via an Email to Google developers:

Starting November 3rd, Nexus 9 will be the first device available to consumers that will run Android 5.0. Therefore, it is a great time to publish on Google Play, once you've updated and tested your app. Even if your apps target earlier versions of Android, take a few moments to test them on the Android 5.0 system images, and publish any updates needed in advance of the Android 5.0 rollout.

Galaxy Note 2

Last May, Samsung Denmark announced that the Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) is planned on getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, However, the company didn't put a timeframe or ETA (Estimated time of arrival) for the update and it has reached the "In-development" stage about 3 months ago.

After receiving some reports we reached out for more info regarding the update and... Sadly, we got a confirmation today that the official Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 2 has been Canceled, the decision was made after due to the device has failed to pass the final testing stage that performed before the final release.

Note 2 Lollipop

Samsung always includes its popular TouchWiz UI on top of every new Android release to all its devices, running both "Lollipop + Touchwiz UI" will cause performance issues and lag which will affect the user experience on daily usage.

This is not the first time that Samsung canceled an update for a flagship device, same thing happened to the Galaxy S3, S4 mini, Ace 4, Tab Active, K zoom and tab 3.

UPDATE September,10th !

In other hands, SamsungDenmark and SamsungMobileUK confirmed the news on their official twitter accounts too, admiting that there won't be any Lollipop updates for the Galaxy Note 2 at all.

We have good news for owners of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge today as the final builds of Android 7 Nougat that Samsung is going to send out to all its customers, are almost ready. Vodafone Australia has made it official via an update onto its website on December 15 that Carrier testing for the much awaited Android Nougat update has already started. Check out the details in the screenshot below.

It was to be expected since the Galaxy Beta Program is coming to an end along with the year 2016. Previous reports and rumors had stated that the OEM would be updating its current flagships with the Nougat OS in early 2017 and it seems like those were right on the money. If you have been following us, then you should know that Samsung is going to skip Android 7.0 and go straight to v7.1.1 while releasing the final OTA update. While the differences in-between Android 7.0 and 7.1.1 aren't earth-shattering, it's always good to know that an OEM is going to provide the latest version of the Android OS to its premium customers.

Just as always, Samsung had started rolling out beta updates of the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS to select devices and users who signed up for the Galaxy Beta Program a few months back, but that time is about to come to an end now, as the fifth and very likely, the final beta update is out now. The OTA update comes in at a fairly large but expected size of 613MB and The Android Soul reports the firmware version to be ZQLE.

While it most probably marks the end of the Oreo beta updates, there is no doubt that it's good news. This basically means that the official and final version of the latest Android OS is about to make its appearance via OTA on various devices now. Unfortunately, if you are in India, you have probably only started receiving the second beta update.
