The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ don't have much competition right now as they are the only two handsets right now with the latest Qualcomm (or Exynos) Snapdragon flagship chip inside. The LG G6 is probably its closest competitor yet, but the last-gen SD 821 chip makes the LG handset fall behind. However, that scene is about to change very soon as Xiaomi gets ready to launch their own flagship handsets next week in China, with the SD 835 inside. Rumors have been predicting the specs for the Chinese handset for a long time now, but some of it has just been confirmed by a leaked GeekBench test run result. Check the screenshot below and the specs over here to get a feel of things.

Unfortunately, there's currently no news regarding when Xiaomi is going to launch the mi 6 and the Mi 6 Plus outside China. Going by its track record though, it might be a few months before that happens. Nevertheless, what we have seen so far both in terms of specs and leaked pictures, do look very impressive. Hopefully, Xiaomi will be able to bring the two handsets in other countries myuch faster this time around.

Now it's time to get a sneak peek at yet to be announced HTC One X9 smartphone based on Android. Thanks to China's TEENA, we are able to get some concrete information related to the rumoured phone. The telecommunication agency has taken a step further by revealing specs of the gadget along with detailed images.

According to the images posted by TEENA the phone looks a lot similar to what the images leaked earlier this week depicted. It seems the device will be sporting BoomSound speaker and retaining the flatter back side. Interesting thing is that the company will be moving the criticized front-branding to the top of the phone.

Revealed specs suggest that the device will boast a Full HD 5.5 inch display, a 2.2GHZ Quad core Soc (brand is not yet known), 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, 13 MP snapper in the back along with 5 MP counterpart in the front and support for microSD. The dimension is reported to be 153.2mm X 75.9mm, 7.99mm thick, and the weight will be around 174 grams. These pictures will serve to strengthen the growing discourse that HTC has "copied" other smartphones like Huawei Nexus 6P or the Lenovo PHAB Plus.

We have had a good look at the Galaxy S8 before, thanks to rendered photos and even a video by @OnLeaks. We had even seen a live photo or two of the upcoming device in the past few weeks, but they are nothing like what we have for you today. These images show it all and you can now have a clear idea of what to expect from Samsung this year.

Unfortunately, there's nothing that these images show us which we don't know already. We can see the 3.5mm audio jack, the USB Type-C port, the curved display with very high screen-to-body ratio and no physical Home button. If you can't wait to get your hands on one, you will just have to wait till March 29, when the company may announce the device officially to the public. In fact, Samsung will confirm the official launch date and release date during their conference at the MWC next week. Take a look at the images leaked by Ice Universe on Twitter and let us know if you like what you see.

The Galaxy S10 series of smartphones are now less than two weeks away from launch date, as Samsung has now confirmed that they are going to unveil the Galaxy S10 series on February 20, at an exclusive Samsung Unpacked event in San Francisco. Even more importantly, we now have our first look at a live Galaxy S10+ model, that reportedly comes from Saudi Arabia. Looking at the images, we are relieved to see that the design isn't as boxy as it looked in the casemaker's models that we showed you yesterday!

If the images are to be believed, then the Galaxy S10+ at least, will indeed sport an in-display fingerprint scanner after all. There's also the expected tri-camera module at the back and it does look like there will be a Pearly White color option this year after all.

LG IPS 21:9 Curved TV

LG wants to take a step forward with curved TV, as the technology now allows it, LG will be showcasing the World's first 21:9 curved IPS TV monitor at the IFA 2014 in Berlin at the beginning of September. This is a new monitor that features ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio and comes with a curved IPS panel. Its size is about 34".

The monitor should provide remarkable picture quality, its maker says. It has 3440×1440 resolution, which, if we go by vertical pixels alone, could actually be called "Quad HD" as LG does. The new monitor, which has the model number 34UC97, supports Thunderbolt 2 for high-speed data connections, and allows multiple devices to be daisy chained together. It's even got a 7W MaxxAudio stereo speaker system built-in.

Apple's next iPhone might still be months from release, but the latest render video has left nothing to the imagination! The video has been created via the joint effort of Concept Creator and OnLeaks, both of whom are among the best render artists and leaksters respectively, in the smartphone industry. Check it out first before we talk about it further.

Whether they decide to call it iPhone 11, XI or XR2, almost everyone in the industry is sure that this is exactly how the next premium iPhone will look. Although a video says it better than anything I can possibly write, here are some of the highlight points of the new design by Apple, that we found in the video.

·        Ugly tri-camera setup, indicating huge camera performance boost hopefully

·        Adoption of the iPad's vertical slider to incorporate the mute button

·        The infamous notch is here to stay, although you may miss it due to the wallpaper

·        The quality of the video is absolutely stunning in 60fps!
