OnePlus 8

2019 was the year of success for OnePlus. In 2020 the company isn't likely to slow down, as we have already witnessed a new streak of rumors about OnePlus 8 series as these devices are on the way. There is also a rumor about a new mid-range or budget-friendly device coming from the company, which is tagged as OnePlus 8 Lite. If it does launch, it would be the first mid-range smartphone from the company since the OnePlus X, that was launched back in 2015.

The mid-range device OnePlus 8 Lite was named as "Lite" by rumors because it seems more sensible than using the X, as OnePlus did in the past. It might be possible that the Lite version has some other name, but until we hear from the company, we will continue to use the OnePlus 8, Pro, and Lite. As per leaks, the devices will be launched in May of 2020. It's predecessor OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 6 both were released in May.

As per leak images, the OnePlus 8 looks slightly different than the OnePlus 7. There is an addition of a lens on the rear side of the device. Earlier, the phone had only two lenses. On the front side, the waterdrop notch is gone. Instead, the company adopted the punch-hole route by adding a single camera lens for taking selfies as a cutout in the upper left corner.

As per the physical buttons are concerned, the volume rocker is on the left side, and the power button is a layout on the right side along with the alert slider. The USB-C port is in its usual place and there is still no 3.5mm headphone jack. From the back, the device looks similar to the OnePlus 7T Pro. The camera has left-of-center ToF sensor, all arranged in pretty much a similar way as in 7T pro. In short, the OnePlus 8 Lite is different than any other OnePlus phone from the front side.

As per confirmed leaks, the OnePlus 8 series is going to have a 120Hz display refresh rate. With its predecessor, the display rate was 90Hz. However, it is unlikely that the Lite version will feature such a high refresh rate. OnePlus could use wireless charging with the upcoming series.

Marshmallow

HTC has just launched its first Android 6.0 Marshmallow powered smartphone, One A9, which also packs an updated version of HTC Sense 7.0 UI. The new User Interface packs some minor improvements on top of Marshmallow.

The Improvements can be visible on the System app's icons, Setting menu, Notification bar, HTC Sense Keyboard, App drawer and the blinkfeed too. Everything is more flat than the previous Sense 7.0 release (for Lollipop).

Marshmallow

All the icons used are now packing a long-shadow style. The camera Interface has also been updated with flat simple icons. System-wide the new UI is taking advantage of all Marshmallow features and tries to follow Google's Material Design as much as possible but still keeping the good old Sense smooth feeling which makes it the perfect combination and the best custom launcher in the market. Check the video below to see the HTC One A9 with Marshmallow 6.0 Sense 7.0 UI in action.

Android 5.1 Sense 7.0 UI Official update

Many of the HTC One M8 users are waiting on fire for the New Sense 7.0 UI to hit their devices. Today, we have some good news for HTC users worldwide, HTC ROM developer @LlabTooFeR (trusted for HTC news) just tweeted some that Sense 7.0 UI will come with Android 5.1 Lollipop Update to the HTC One M8, One M8s, Desire Eye, Butterfly 2 and some other devices.

According to the source, the Android 5.0.2 update for HTC won't pack the Sense 7.0 UI like what's on the HTC One M9 currently. This means that current M8 users will have to wait a while for 5.1 Lollipop update to enjoy the New Sense 7.0 UI.

Sense 7.0

As for the HTC One M7, it's not clear yet if it will get updated to Sense 7.0 UI or not. The 2 years old flagship already received the 5.0.1 Lollipop update with Sense 6.0 UI earlier this year. Hopefully, HTC won't forget its loyal "One" users.

In other hands, HTC product manager "Mo Versi" has also confirmed via his own twitter account that Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the company's first one flagship, HTC One (M7) too. It's not clear if the 3-years old device will get Sense 7.0 UI along with the new Lollipop build or not.

HTC sense 7 Lollipop

We can't wait to see what HTC will do with the Lollipop Material Design UI. We've just received a TIP from one of our readers with a screenshot alleged to be from an Android 5.0 Lollipop (preview) build with HTC Sense 7 UI. The screenshot appears to be taken from an HTC One M8.

The screenshot is from the system settings Battery Usage. As you can see HTC Sense 7 UI has a full accent color that covers the upper Notification bar (Dark Green) along with the same color as a background of the software Keys. In Sense 6, the software Keys was always black. HTC Lollipop update schudle already Here.

UPDATE!:  More Sense 7 Screenshots is Here

Thanks for the Tip Anon!

HTC Sense 7

More Screenshots from HTC Sense 7 UI has been leaked, we got two screenshots via an Anonymous Tip. The source claims that HTC is working on developing the Sense 7 UI with Material Design on the latest Lollipop Developer Preview as a preparation for the final version release. Sense 7 UI is still unfinished and under-development.

Looks like HTC will release a whole new version of Sense (7.0) for a whole new version of Android (5.0). However, We don't have any confirmation regarding the authenticity of these screenshots, it could be a very very early Sense 7 build, or not!

HTC Sense 7 Material UI

The HTC Sense 7 UI has almost the same style and icons as the Sense 6 but with a little Material touch. Software keys background will change its color according to the App accent color which as a gorgeous touch to the User Interface, unlike the current Sense 6 which makes the Software keys almost black on most Apps. These screenshots were taken from an HTC One M8 device, we didn't get screenshots from the Homscreen, App drawer, lockscreen or the Notifications bar yet.

- UPDATE (Oct,28): The 2nd screenshot (below) is from an App that is not related to HTC (Widget Reborn beta), Our source Apologizes for it and clarifies that he was demonstrating how Sense 7 UI can adjust with any Material-optimized App. Sense 7 UI will color the software keys and upper notification bar with the App's default accent color which is in this case (Dark green). This is Not HTC Sense 7 UI Battery History.

HTC sense 7 settings vs app

As a coincidence, HTC Sense 7 settings menu has the same default color as the App but a little lighter. Our source also said that Sense 7 will have themes (like Sense 6) that changes the accent color of the whole UI (the default is light green).

HTC Sense 7 Material UI

HTC promised that it will deliver Lollipop OTA update to its One M8 and One M7 in exactly 90 days after Google release the final version (November,3rd). Stay Tuned for More Info!

Thanks for the Tip Anon!

sense 6.5

HTC's Android 5.0 Lollipop update is coming on Early February,2015. In the Update HTC is working on integrating its Sense UI into the Lollipop to bring the HTC Sense 6.5 along. In the latest Leaked screenshots of the Sene 6.5, HTC fully integrated Lollipop's recent apps switcher, a rolodex-style cards interface that gives you a visually appealing interface for jumping between your most recently used apps. The last bit HTC borrowed from AOSP was the ability to search for specific settings inside the Settings app.

sense 6.5

Beyond all that, HTC is looking to bring something of their own. It's Easy Mode, which makes the user interface much simpler to use for those who might find the default smartphone experience too daunting for them.

sense 6.5

Easy Mode's interface will put the most important apps right in your face, with a button to access all apps sitting below all that. You can add and remove apps at your own discretion so those who opt to use this mode do get a bit of customization. It should be easy enough to switch between the two modes, so those who start off using Easy Mode can graduate to the full home-screen experience to lay things out exactly as they want it.

sense 7

We already posted some leaked screenshots of HTC's Sense 7 UI earlier last month. Today, Android developer @LlabTooFeR said on Twitter that the Android 5.0 update for the HTC One M8 and M7 won't bring Sense 7.0. Both phones will still have essentially the same Sense 6 as on the KitKat ROM.

Sense 7.0

The Sense 7.0 update is said to arrive first on the upcoming HTC "Hima" flagship arriving by early next year. The 2014 gen devices are said to get the 7.0 update by the middle of next year, around May,2015. Still No official confirmation from HTC, yet.

After the launch of the HTC One M9, HTC Today has updated its Blinkfeed Laucnher in the play store with a complete new look and rebranding it to "Sense Home". The update brings Sense 6 users a bit closer to the Sense 7 UI.

sesne 7

Sense Home now integrates HTC Themes App, one of the features that debuted on the One M9, allowing users to create custom themes in order to give their phone a personal touch. Colors, fonts, icons and sounds all these can be changed. Besides creating their own themes from scratch, users can also browse and download high-quality designs from the app's catalog. Sense Home widget is another novelty: based on your location, the widget automatically shows your most frequently used apps.

You can download the new Sense Home on the HTC One M8, as well as on the two-year old HTC One M7. However, not all features are available for the M8 and M7, as they require Sense 7 UI (which has yet to be released for the two handsets).

peel

HTC surprised its users by shutting down its Sense TV services, HTC One M8 users have noticed that the Sense TV app which is a smart TV remote using the built-in IR blaster, has started notifying them that the service has shut down and they have to install Peel App from the play store.

peel

The move isn't surprising given that HTC's shipping a regular Peel remote app instead of Sense TV on its latest One M9. However we now have confirmation from HTC that the move away from Sense TV is taking place, and that it'll affect Android owners as well as its most recent Windows device. Peel will import all the settings needed from Sense TV App.

peel

HTC has confirmed that the shutdown will affect the Android and Windows versions of Sense TV, and that when the app closes up shop it'll point users in the direction of the Peel app, whether they're on Android or Windows. Just to let you know, Sense TV was essentially just a branded version of Peel anyway, the core experience shouldn't change too much, and HTC owners will be kept updated through Play Store updates whether they're using Peel on an M7, M8 or M9.

Earlier this Year, Samsung released it's flagship Galaxy S6 with a New TouchWiz UI with a little Material Design touch. At the same time HTC released it's latest flagship One M9 with the New HTC Sense 7 UI with a more flat design.

Both User Interfaces has different features, look, icons, wallpapers, notifications, lockscreen, menus and fonts. It's hard to decide which is better! So we will show you some screenshots from both Interfaces as a comparison... Leaving the final decision to you!
