The Desire 820 was released back in 2014 and it's good to see that HTC has not abandoned it yet. The smartphone just started to receive an update package Over The Air which will not only bring Android 6.0.1 to the smartphone, but will also upgrade the Sense UI to v7.0, post installation. This is good news but we are not yet sure as to which regions the update is covering at this moment. In fact, the news came as quite a surprise and was reported first by GSM Arena after being tipped off by Rupak Thapa.

If you are using a HTC Desire 820 and have not been notified about the update yet, check for it manually. Go to Settings, tap on About device at the bottom and just select Check for updates. If the results are negative and you do not see a prompt to update your handset, there is still no need to fret. OTA updates are always rolled out in phases, meaning that all HTC Desire 820 smartphones cannot receive the update at the same time. Nonetheless, it only takes a few days before all the phases begin to roll out so just keep checking.

You can be a novice or an essay writing guru, one thing is certain - there is always room for improvement. "Growth mindset" has been one of the most popular psychological concepts of the XXI century. Carol Dweck, who coined the term, argues that the key ingredient to success is believing in your own potential. Dweck's theory is based on groundbreaking research on brain plasticity and the positive influence of practice on the connectivity between neurons. In a nutshell, when your mindset is fixed, it becomes an obstacle on the way to improvement. But when you develop a growth mindset and believe in your own ability to get smarter, you work harder and ultimately achieve better results. So, no matter if you are a beginner or a professional, you can always upgrade your essay writing if you set your mind on it. And we are eager to help you with the following useful tips and resources that can make your essay writing practice more enjoyable and effective.

1. Practice a lot

There is only one silver bullet that will never fail to improve your writing skills. You might have guessed that it is just a lot of deliberate practice. And while sometimes it might be really hard to pull yourself together, there are helpful apps that will turn your writing practice into a fun pastime you will not want to miss. Writing Challenge is an app that offers you several creative prompts and challenges you to write a story based on them. 750words is another writing-productivity app that inspires you to write 750 words daily to get your creative flow unstuck. You can also try journaling with the Day One app as a way to collect ideas and get organized. Finally, check out Blurt: this helpful app will encourage you to build a daily writing habit by setting word count goals and sending you email reminders. Whichever you choose, the most important rules are: commit to your schedule and have fun while writing!

2. Work on your style

Your style of writing can never be polished enough. There will always be a better synonym you could think of and a comma you have missed. "If you look for perfection, you'll never be content," wrote Leo Tolstoy. Grammarly is always here to help you. This popular app can not only check your grammar but also explain what went wrong and how to improve your writing. If you use Grammarly consistently, you will be able to upgrade your style on the basis of the regular reports. Another great app is called ProWritingAid. It is a three-in-one solution: a grammar checker, a style editor, and a writing coach covering such advanced writing issues as repetitive words, transitions, vague and abstract words, etc. There are also specialized apps that aim at honing your academic writing skills, such as Academic Writing in English and Mastering Academic Writing. So, the choice is yours. The secret to your success is the effort.

3. Learn from the professionals

Another great strategy to boost your writing skills is to examine the best specimens of the essay writing craft and learn by example. You can find a list of the best essays written between 2010 and 2020 in Emily Temple's article "The 10 Best Essay Collections of the Decade." Another great list you could use is "17 Personal Essays That Will Change Your Life" by Sandy Allen from BuzzFeed. And if you are looking for more personalized examples that will suit your unique requirements, professional writers from essaywritingservice.com will provide you with the best samples of academic writing you can use to master the intricacies of the essay writing art.

4. Use advanced academic libraries.

We bet you already know that Wikipedia is not your go-to resource to be cited in an essay. It is high time you tried some more specialized digital libraries that will give you access to rare materials and help you showcase your connoisseurship. World Digital Library is an online treasury full of old manuscripts and books, films, images, and maps. The Perseus Digital Library focuses on Ancient Greek and Roman history, but it also includes Arabic and Germanic materials, books, and articles on Early Modern English literature, sources devoted to the history of the 19th-century United States, and other amazing artifacts. Another digital jewel box is Century Past, a helpful library offering a wide range of non-fiction books on multiple subjects, including art, history, teaching, economy, religion, political studies, exact sciences, medicine, and many others. The more you read, the better you write.

5. Make your writing reader-friendly

In fact, the art of composing a good essay is not about writing. It is about reading. When working on your paper, you should always remember about your readers and their convenience. Keep asking yourself if your writing is clear and concise, if you offer enough examples, and if you are writing in an engaging and easy-to-read manner. If you think that you might have stylistically overloaded your essay, you can receive assistance from such clarity-enhancing apps as Hemingway and Readable.

And here is one last extra tip from the literary father of the Little Prince. "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away," said Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Work on each word so that you are finally sure it is in the right place, and without it, your essay will not be complete. Good luck!

Samsung is often accused of "following" Apple's path and it seems like they are planning to do some following once again! This time around, it isn't a feature but a business model called the iPhone Upgrade Program which Apple uses to make upgrading to the latest model of the iPhone easier for their customers. Reportedly, Samsung may start something similar as well with their Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. Initially, the leasing program will most likely be available only through the Samsung Digital Plazas in South Korea. LG Uplus, SK Telecom and KT are going to be Samsung's partners in the program in South Korea.

In the US, you are allowed to lease an iPhone 6s (16GB) at $32 per month for two years. As part of the upgrade program, the 6s can be exchanged a year later for the next iPhone, provided that you are okay with the new revised lease starting all over again. From what we have heard so far, Samsung's upgrade model will be exactly the same with the Galaxy S7 series with one addition; the customer will have to opt for a Samsung credit card in order to avail the upgrade program and pay out the lease with zero interest. With all the similar programs that are already offered by carriers like AT&T and Verizon in the US, will this be of any use to customers over here?

Samsung has just made it official that they have an interesting exchange plan for the people who bought the Galaxy Note 7. However the plan is only available in South Korea as of now. A lot of the customer base wasn't satisfied in the way Samsung handled the entire debacle, but hopefully, this plan will convince some of them to stay loyal to Samsung.

According to the plan, if you exchange the Note 7 for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, you will have to pay half of the original price of that particular handset and even that can be paid via instalments over a period of twelve months. The contract further extends to include that you will have to opt for the Galaxy S8 or some other flagship grade smartphone that Samsung releases next year at full price. When you decide to exchange the S7/S7 Edge for the S8 next year, the contract can be renewed in a way so that the remainder of the instalments will extend up to an additional period of 12 months, until the full price of the S8 is paid off.

While this is a good offer for Samsung loyalists, it might take quite a devotee to opt for a smartphone that one has no idea about or what the competition will be offering at that point of time. Will you go for it if it became available in your country?

Although most of us were expecting the S8 series to get an upgrade in terms of battery size, it's not happening, according to a report from South Korea, brought forward by The Android Soul. The battery capacity of the regular S8 will remain at 3,000mAh, which is the same as the Lithium ion cell currently powering the Galaxy S7. More surprisingly, the S8 Plus will feature an even smaller 3,500mAh battery than the S7 Edge's 3,600mAh cell. It should be noted that this puts the battery capacity of the S8 Plus at exactly the same size as the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7. The batteries will be manufactured and supplied mainly by Samsung SDI with supplemental supplies from Murata.

It is being guessed that Samsung probably opted out of choosing a bigger battery in order to ensure safety. If this news is indeed true and you are worried about battery life on the S8 smartphones, it might help to know that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip which will be powering the handset is going to be the most power-efficient one yet. Nevertheless, we admit that it is a bit disappointing to know that the batteries are not getting an upgrade.

Samsung most probably won't be upgrading your Samsung Galaxy S4 to Android 6.0 or 6.0.1 Marshmallow. At this point third party developers are making efforts to find a solution. In this article we'll go through some of the methods that would help users to update their device, irrespective of device maker's official Android support. The first of option is the widely adopted - CyanogenMod 13. The second option is also a kind of advanced ROM flashing scenario. The final way to upgrade the Galaxy S4 is mostly a virtual solution.

CyanogenMod downloads section has listed a bunch of collection of CyanogenMod 13 OS builds for all of the Samsung Galaxy S4 variants released till now. In case you are confused about the files available for this update, don't try to flash them to your device.

While the solution listed above utilizes CyanogenMod's special look at Android OS, the next solution is based on AOSP, the Android Open Source Project, and it is an elementary version of the new Android. It is named as AICP and lets you upgrade to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow in Samsung Galaxy S4

Last solution is the Google Now Launcher. This launcher completely replaces the Samsung launcher, which was in-built in the smartphone.

Given below are the inclusions in the new Google Launcher:

• Vertical and faster scrolling of A-Z apps list
• One place to search for apps installed in the device and new ones on the Play Store right from the A-Z list.
• App Suggestions utilizes on-device intelligence to show the apps you're searching for in the top of the list.
• Enlarged folders which can have more than one page.
• Newly added Android Marshmallow Wallpapers.
