Latest rumor of the Samsung Galaxy S7 point to an announcement date of late February at it'sGalaxy Unpacked event, same as the dates of the Mobile World Congress 2016  .   This would be the same approach of the corporation in previous years, as the Korean consumer electronics giant has utilized the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to announce Galaxy S devices in recent years.

Another rumor that has emerged in recent weeks is the suggestion that Samsung will release three models of the Galaxy S7 simultaneously. The Samsung product range has been a little complicated in recent releases, and it is suggested that the Korean company will simplify the situation by producing a Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge+, and releasing them at the same time.

Network of the Galaxy S7 will likely complete with Cat 12 LTE, and that this mostly likely be supported by both the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Samsung's own Exynos 8990 processor. It appears increasingly likely that Samsung will revert to its old policy of releasing two separate Galaxy S units in different regions of the world, with the East Asian marketplace likely to receive its proprietary technology.

Samsung is particularly known for packing its devices with the highest specifications possible, and the company has pioneered numerous innovations in recent years. The most notable of these is the curved screen technology that is now almost indelibly associated with Samsung, we just going to have to wait and see how innovative how Galaxy S7 is.

Thaks Ricciolo

Barcelona was the site of much interest from Samsung device lovers who wanted to see what the SE Asian company had in store for consumers. A couple of flagship devices and a 360-degree virtual reality camera received much of the buzz at the industry event.

The Galaxy S7 could easily be mistaken for the Galaxy S6. Okay, so it has been updated with a more metallic look and it is sleeker too, but it is unmistakably an S series device. Fans of the S series device will also be pleased to learn that Samsung have been listening and return some of the features removed from the S6. Namely, the microSD card slot has made a welcome return and storage limits are bumped up to 200GB. The water resistance is also back, so if you spill a coffee on the phone, it might just survive. Remember, we didn't say waterproof, it's only water resistant.

The camera drops from 16-megapixels to 12-megapixels, but the larger pixels and f/1.7 aperture lets in more light for improved low-light performance. The autofocus is faster and a front-facing selfie flashes the screen to provide more light. The 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 820 SoC makes the phone hum along.

The Galaxy S7 Edge also gets the 12-megapixel camera and microSD card slot. It also have more curves in the design and space for notifications. The icons and tabs are larger to match its 5.5-inch screen. The processor is the same as with the S7.

Both devices are released on March 11 and will be compatible with the Samsung Gear VR headset which is offered as a bonus for anyone pre-ordering either device.

The Samsung Gear 360 is a 30-megapixel 360-degree camera that uses 2 fish-eye lenses to capture images and video. Its resolution is 3,820x1,920 which is almost the 4K standard. Each f/2.0 fish-eye lenses covers 195-degrees and images can be stitched together using the S7 or S7 edge. The device is not expected for release until the summer season.

Although it is without a doubt, one of the best smartphones to hit 2017 yet, do you agree with the decision or do you think the award should have gone to some other smartphone? Let us know in the comments.

Samsung is the global leader when it comes to smartphone sales and market share, but that doesn't mean it's the leader everywhere. Being the most populated and prospective nation in the world, China is now one of the biggest markets for smartphones in the entire world as well. In spite of seeming like the perfect match for each other, Samsung's hold over the local market in China has been reduced to a mere 3% at the end of Q2 2017; the lowest for the company in any other nation where it has a significant presence.

If you are wondering why it is so, there are two main factors at play here. Firstly, the political relationship between South Korea and China is not going very well at the moment. This has resulted in a number of customers rejecting Korea-made products In favor of products from local manufacturers like Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Huawei and the like. Secondly, the competition from the local manufacturers is too steep for Samsung to match up with them under the current situation. In fact, Apple isn't doing too well in the country either as their share in the Chinese market dropped from 8.5% to 8.2% in just a year. Nevertheless, the American company is still doing a lot better than Samsung, given that their market dropped from 7% to just 3% at the end of Q2 2017 in a quarter-on-quarter comparison with 2016.

While f/1.7 aperture was only starting to gain recent popularity among select flagship handsets, Samsung has just launched a smartphone which boasts of an exclusive f/1.5 aperture. In case you are wondering, lower is better here.  A lower aperture translates to clearer pictures in low light situations so this is great news. The smartphone in question is the W2018 and it's a flip phone! Yup, you read that right, Samsung is still holding onto the flip phone formula in China and yes, it's a China exclusive phone unfortunately.

Other specs of the device are more or less in line with major flagship handsets from Samsung and they are as follows.

Twin 4.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED displays

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC

6 GB of RAM

64GB of internal storage (a 256GB model could be in the pipelines)

12-MP rear camera/5-mp front camera

2,300 mAh battery

Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Colors: Elegant Gold and Platinum

Price: Possibly close to $2,000 or higher!

If it was available near you, would you pay $2,000 for this? Let us know in the comments.

There was a time when the only real competitor Samsung had was Apple, but those times have changed and they have changed a lot. Make no mistake, Apple is still Samsung's biggest adversary in many ways, but the Cupertino giant is no longer the only concern for Samsung as Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are taking the market by storm by offering high-end hardware at competitive prices. Nevertheless, even amongst so much speculation, Samsung has managed to hold the number one position as the leading smartphone seller at the end of Q1 2018. The stats are not as impressive as they once were and in certain markets, Samsung has clearly lost a lot of business, but even then, the Korean MNC is still the global leader in total smartphone sales across the world. Check out some of the stats below, as presented by the analytics farm Counterpoint.

·         Samsung shipped a total of 78 (22%) million smartphones in this quarter, out of the 360 million total

·         Apple came second with 52.2 million (15%)

·         Huawei holds the third position with 39.6 million shipments (11%)

·         Apple remains the number one seller in North America (38%), with Samsung coming in at second (27%)

·         In Asia, Huawei, Xiaomi and Samsung are tied for the first spot with 13% each, while Apple has slipped into the second position with 12%

·         Samsung is the dominant smartphone seller in Latin America, Middle East & Africa and Europe with 37%, 28$ and 33$ of the market share respectively

It wasn't LeTV, but Qualcomm who revealed the upcoming LeTV Le Max Pro as the first Snapdragon 820 powered smartphone. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas, Qualcomm made two major announcements with the first being an introduction to the automotive Snapdragon 820 chipset, termed "820Am." Apart from helping the driver with real time assistance in navigation and performing other "smartcar" functions, the Snapdragon 820 Am will also enable movement-tracking when supported by appropriate hardware sensors.

The 820 is actually a quad core processor wherein last year's 810 was an octacore CPU. There are four Kryo processor cores inside the CPU and each one is clocked at 2.2 GHz by default. Apart from the Snapdragon 820 processor, the LeTV Le Max Pro will be powered by an Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

The extremely well-built Le Max Pro will offer three non-expandable storage options; 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The enormous 6.33 inch 1440p display is beautiful to look at and perfect for consuming media, albeit a little too large for smaller hands. A 21 megapixel camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner further add to the repertoire of the most powerful phone announced so far (theoretically). We will just have to wait and see if such a huge 2k display and the Snapdragon 820 SoC proves to be too much for the 3400 mAh battery housed within.

Syrma

Milanese design school IED - Istituto Europeo di Design - reasserts Italy's heritage of car manufacturing with the Syrma concept car. Working alongside motoring publication Quattroruote, IED's Syrma concept presents an atypical automotive configuration in a number of ways.

Syrma

Starting with the interior layout that entails three staggered front seats with the driver's seat located in the middle, under the hood lies a hybrid engine with a V6 twin turbo, approximately 4-litre heat engine, and an electric engine that when combined courier an impressive 900hp to the gas pedal.

When running on electric, the Syrma is entirely silent, that is aside from the screeching of rubber as you burn out of your driveway. Created by 11 students as part of their Masters thesis, the concept was developed and then produced in full scale in time for the 2015 International Geneva Motor Show.

microSD

SanDisk has introduced the first 200GB microSDXC card a while ago and it's currently on the markets. Now, a company called Microdia, and while it doesn't quite have the same brand recognition as the memory card giant, this California-based company also makes flash memory and accessories. Microdia introduced the first microSD card that stuffs 512GB worth of storage space into a piece of plastic smaller than your fingernail.

sandisk

Naturally, it won't be cheap. Microdia says it estimates the Xtra Elite will cost around $1,000 which converts to around £655 or AU$1,285 when it goes on sale by the end of this year, though that's not the final retail price. You can buy a 64GB card for around $30, £18 or AU$35.

The Xtra Elite will use version 4.0 of the Secure Digital standard, and feature an Ultra High Speed (UHS) bus with data transfer rates of up to 300MBps. Because it's using SD 4.0, the card features an additional row of pins below the standard ones.

Technology can take people out of poverty. All things prove the evolution of developing the world that skipping past eras.

Only 2 percent of African households have fixed lines, while almost two-thirds of US households still do. Recent Pew Research Center numbers show that cell phones are common in Nigeria and South Africa, as they are in the United States, with about 90 percent of adults owning mobile phones.

In a world where more people have access to a mobile phone than a toilet, we need to ask: what is this for all these phones? And do they really matter?

Studying

Mobile phones and tablets bring teachers to students in regions with inadequate service levels, like never before, due to lower equipment costs. Rumi's low-power tablets, pre-loaded with whole libraries, were put into operation during the Ebola crisis, when schools in Liberia were closed for several months. Teachers are also learning: the program in Pakistan provided instructors with videos about training methods that they could download at free hot spots.

The Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda can appeal to teachers' subscribers to check attendance, opportunities and materials without going hundreds of miles to visit each site. Mobile studying can also help in training: a school in Bangladesh allowed parents to make payments through a mobile phone when they are comfortable.

Help Save Lives

Since mobile phones have become common in the developing world, the "mHealth" area (mobile health) has emerged. MHealth programs connect remote communities with medical services and experience, all of which are connected by cellular phones.

Health care workers in rural areas in sub-Saharan Africa use mobile phones to contact medical professionals who can help solve critical health problems. This helps field workers determine what is treatable on the ground, and identify patients who may need to go to the hospital.

Another key use of mobile phones is the SMS for life program. He uses text messages to deliver malaria medicines to remote communities. Using simple text messages, the program helps to get medications for malaria to people who need them and checks the level of stocks to avoid the outcome. Another innovative use of text messages is HIV prevention, which helps young people get information about the disease.

Save and spend money

Banking is expensive, especially if you live in a city where there is no bank! In developing countries, a significant part of the population does not have access to financial services, which we take for granted (for example, direct deposit, credit cards or savings accounts). But cell phones allow you to make digital transactions that are cheaper and safer than paying in cash or saving money under the notorious mattress. Financing on cell phones also makes credit available to poor people, and they can invest in building a home or building a small business.

Help people find a job

There are a lot of apps and services to find a job. And it is more useful in countries which are not as modern as Europe countries or USA.

E.g., mobile phones have helped people in Palestine find work. In a press release, they reported:

"In Palestine, the JobMatch service in Souktel helps young people find work. Graduates of colleges using this service reported a reduction in time spent on job search, on average from twelve weeks to one week or less, and a salary increase of up to 50 percent. "

Portability of hobbies (e.g., playing mobile online casino)

One of the advantages is that you can use the applications on your phone wherever you are; for this, you do not need to bind to the computer. This is one of the reasons why many people get a smartphone and the use of online slot games for the casino is really suitable.

Often, casino games are held in a casino or more recently on a computer. While staying on your computer gives you more flexibility than being in a casino. This will allow you to play games when you are away from your home.

This means that you can play in bed, waiting for food to feed, in front of the TV or anywhere. This may say that you are free from your computer. You can even play if you do not have a computer, since many people these days have a smartphone, but do not have a computer
